I normally only make slimlime on a 7mm mandrel, , but think Im going to buy bushings for some others as well.... getting board of them... Fancy some European and american bushes...

After being in 'The Zone' after finishing ma stalking knife today, I thought I'd make a couple of pens.... The tiger stripe is made from Zebrano, with satin nickel metal work... the other is made from Cherry, again with Satin nickel metal work... Trying to stock up for xmas presents, but Ben took the Zebrano!! bloody blanks are imported from Germany and cost a fortune !! Ill need to make a load more now, as wife took one last week... and I'm behind on commissions they are both finished with CA, and polished with Micomesh on the lathe..

I hope you feel I did the blade justice mate.......................... The Scales are Tulip wood, fitted with copper 1/4" mosaic pins, and 3/8" Copper mosaic lanyard tube. The ferrocerium rod was finished in Tulip wood as well. I wouldn't say it was perfect........ Its my first proper, no holds barred knife, but I've learnt a lot and reckon I could improve the next.. Now I know the score. The handle was sanded to death by hand, then sanded some more with micromesh, upto 12000 grade. The finished with Tru oil sealer, oil and wax.. TOP MAN what is the postage on a fox tail will it be cured postage no probs THANKS GARRICK I would guess at about 2 quid, and they are cured.... yes. I filled them with salt after stripping them. been like it best part of a year, Not sure what Im saving them for... but we have a washing line full.... lol Think your inbox is full mate pm me your addy and i will sort you out THANKS GARRICK Its all the women....... they wont leave me alone That and labtastic begging to get a shot of my black dog, Apparently black is the new yellow!!

Couple of weeks ago, as is the norm now, BASC Scotland, held a young shots ferreting day.. Basically it is an opportunity for youngsters with little or no land, or youngsters that want an introduction to ferreting to get down and dirty. My self and friend have helped out for a couple of years now.. basically because we enjoy it, the kids are normally well behaved and keen to learn. The only payment for the day, is a couple of Tesco sandwiches, and a carton of juice, but we'd do it anyway.. Here's the photos for the day......... seems ma dog was in most of them.... Quite simply yes....... And more accurate to boot.... Love my Hornet... So does everyone who uses it... Having said that, the gap is closing on price.. Powder is up, heads are up....

Afternoon all, can anyone recommend a decent country pub that does accommodation in or slightly north of Hereford please? Struggling to find anything decent.. Clean with decent atmosphere and good food is required for a team of engineers working in the area for a week. thanks matty

I have just received my scandi ground woodlore copy, and Im over the moon with it. The leather sheath I asked Matt to make me as well is superb. Cant recommend them enough.. I asked Matt to make this on Thursday, and it arrived in Scotland on Saturday morning... Cant be any better than that.... surely?? Ill post pictures when i've chosen the scales, and assembled it...
