    just watching the same......... Problem in this country, is that the 'PC' Majority think that the animal that your wearing has been farmed/killed for its fur...... rather than using its fur after its been killed (if that makes sense) Its off putting that we have let our country get in to the state where its acceptable to waste a decent bi-product. My other concern is that if the furs carried value, then everybody with the means would be out killing for money...... not really my cuppa tea.. shame really,.,..

    Couldn't agree more! Just been perusing the AYA XXV and a few english SxS. That might be where I end up....... but I'm erring towards an O&U because I want to do more clay shooting than I have been and some clubs can be funny about an auto. Proper Gun....

    you can try planting willow for all year round browsing.. just look at the problems deer cause to foresty plantations?? but i'm not talking one or two plants here.. Most of the commercial products have mixed results, and probably attract the hunter more so than the deer. it is far more popular in America than here. But the most effective way is spend time on the ground, get to know the patterns of movement, feeding times and areas.. just watching.......... not shooting.. get some idea of the numbers on the ground. look for slots on the ground to see where they are moving. And watch those

    what sort of ground is it? Depends on whats around, but if grass is sparse, i.e. arable farmland, then grazing strips on woodland margins can help.... but as above.... does it then become deer shooting, rather than stalking...? depends on what your ambition is ..?

    I used to go........ Get it right, and its a magical boys week away.... But its a long drive fae Dundee... Had a great time in great company.. Plenty of Beer, camp stove cookery and boys talk... weather was awesome....

    personally i would avoid rimfire for fox, if its a requirement, and step it up to Hornet. if cost is no issue, have 22lr and a hornet. It is unlikely you would be refused a Hornet if you have a requirement to humanely kill foxes.
