  1. sounds like your doing well mate, my pup loves destroying cardboard boxes, find it helps keep her focused and helps with teething also raw fed and is munching on half a rabbit as i type
  2. my pup beddy whippet collie, and with jack russell thrown in for good measure
  3. had a kc whippet that was 22 tts and he was a strong and handy dog
  4. think i might have some of the cheaper stuff another pain when they scuff it up is that it often ends up upside down so feel they are not really getting the cusioning benifts of its woolly pile anyway, still reckon the blankets are good for summer time though and easy to replace and air out, i tend to have the vetbed underneath them for padding.. but could see that with lots of layers of blankets in the winter the drawbacks could be trapped moisture etc meaning mold spores and it could also contribute towards rheumatism.. a must to keep on top of its maintanance
  5. yea do agree heavy ones are a bit of a pain in the winter to keep dry and hang up and dry off.. i try and stock up so have loads so can alternate them, the benifits to them i find is they stay in there baskets and support and cusion the dogs weight better than easibed.
  6. very nice pup mate ...have a pup the same age here and doing the same.. out at every opportunity and with loads of new experiences for her, is great with other dogs etc.,think the worse breed though have been jack russells and there owners meet some right nasty bas@rds..good luck with him
  7. found it ok,a bit light though mine tend to scuff it up into a ball and sleep on the top...charity shops are sometimes good for old human bed blankets, that are not good enough to sale in the shop...often they are not displayed and kept out the back for the rag man, you may have to ask for them though and at one or two pound each are eaisly enough replaced
  8. good old post thought might be good to refresh with all the new pups about.
  9. sorry you cant read the breeds or names of the dogs im selling properly , i wasnt educated and ive spent all my time out working my dogs
  10. as a new raw feeding convert of just two years now i am convinced ive seen benefits in the health and in the field of my dogs in this short period.. but would be interesting to hear from anyone that has always fed their dogs on a strictly raw and balanced diet throughout the dogs entire early and working life and if was kept into retirement then how did they fare health wise into old age ect..... maybe compare this to dogs you may have had previously and fed only dry or tinned..cheers be good to hear of any experiences.
  11. what ever you give, would avoid bakers at all costs, check out the ingredients, alongside the colours and preservitives they even add Propylene glycol a synthetic compound
  12. i wouldnt like to say if its good or bad given long term, i sometimes give a little in water for my pigeons to help keep bacterial levels down..if anyones putting it in their dogs water bowl though be careful not to use aliminium or stainless steel bowls its corrosive..
  13. thankyou for the honest input...she does look a handy and robust little dog.... i have a pup here and her dam was a similar cross to yours...and the sire was a jackrussell terrier..not expecting a speed merchant but hope she will be handy for what i want her for, mainly ferreting and bushing along side the lurcher..shes just 16wks and is 14" and about 7kg and shaping up nicely, time will tell
  14. Bedlington/whippet put to a collie.. not a popular cross but has anyone had any experience working one? cheers
  15. you give him the very best life mate, its never easy, lost my two old whippets this year.....R.I.P Jet until you meet again atb..
