  1. my 8yr old half cross has been a good dog over the time
  2. nice one got some new converts gotta agree its a nice brew..with the dogs i started by pouring it over their feed untill they got used to it,now its just on its own and they trench it down..could be given with a splash of goats milk aswell but have heard milk in tea can cancel out some of the detoifiying benefits not sure what truth in this though..
  3. real shame about the allergic reaction, only a thought mate but was the pup reared on straw or hay that he could be carrying the dust or pollen on its coat, may of started it off, i know it does with me.. hope he finds a good home atb..
  4. wouldnt you just love some of these, stunning display!
  5. been giving this to my lurchers daily now for some while, before and after lamping def noticed a difference in their wellbeing... not sure its scientifically proven though...im convinced ive noticed better stamina and recovery rate aswell between runs..make your own minds up though lol... https://booksforever1blog.wordpress.com/2012/07/17/rooibos-tea-could-help-dogs-in-old-age/
  6. yea and it seems cats over there are even more proficent, make ours look soft
  7. it probably dosnt help with all the crops and the cover starting to be cut around them, maybe spending more time in their burrows with its higher consentration of fleas
  8. spot on that, see the difference when you put a rabbit in with a litter of growing kitts them ripping in to it like giant maggots! its a full body workout wouldnt get that with dry food... but is handy to have a bag on hand if cant get outYes mate, it's good to see them. Aye they do look like seething maggots, a good way of describing it :-)Atb esp the albino ones! think it must give them a better start to their working life when reared on rabbit and whole prey...what dry did you feed yours on? mine sometimes get vitalin if stuck seems ok but dont thrive on it like the raw..

  10. good thinking!.. there still seems to be a fair few about and people who can sevice them ... didnt think much of the collars either on mk3 bit flimsy getting batteries in and out
  11. interested how many of you are still using the mk1 and wouldnt be shifted over to the new mk3 ..personally i wont again, as long as i can still get hold of the mk1 in the future.... does ferreting really need all the the frills of new technology and with all its ear bashing had one when they first came out and sold it as quick as i got it
  12. good advice there if you do go down the raw route just remember not to leave meat around to long in the summer months and feed whole carrcass if you can, if buying meat include heart and organs and bones alongside mince or offcuts..wouldnt give pork either.. all the best in what ever you decide
  13. another way of feeding raw in the summer without getting the shavings stuck to it.... im thinking of kitts here....is to put them in a plastic carrier until their done then put the meat or carcass back in the fridge or cool place untill the next feed, this should hopefully cut down the risk of heat or fly spoliage and blockages from the shavings
  14. vasectomise any surplus hobs, providing you can get them done cheap enough! better chance of finding them a useful and permanent home. charge the price of the op on to the buyer...
  15. dont feed cheap cat biscuits from supermarkets as a staple diet for your ferrets excluding anything else...seen this done over a few generations with a mates ferrets and they always seem to snap their canines to the socket early on in their working life...treat them like you do your dogs and give them the very best you can afford and plenty of variety raw etc and they will repay you tenfold..
