Slipping a dog to catch a hare isn't coursing,it's catching a hare with a dog.Coursing is a duel between two running dogs on a points basis,so to see which one is better at coursing you need to slip them and score them.You lot seem to be telling each other which ones are the better hare catchers/killers...

I got my misses a irish wolfhound bitch and she was about 2 years old,fecking thing didn't eat for a week and i was eating a banana and just offered her a bit in the off chance she would take it and she did.She then walked straight to her food bowl finished that off and then begged for more,she never was a great eater but she just came round in her own time as no chance are you ever forcing a wolfhound to do anything they don't ant to do..

For mullet use a mepps no 2 spinner and tip the hook with harbour rag worm,sod chucking fluff or floating with bread for them after catching them on a spinner...

They have drive and buckets of it,there aim in life is to work to please their masters and the one's iv'e seen truely do,but it ain't the same sort of drive say a lead pulling eye bulging bull x would have.Equal to it in that they'd die for it ,but not so up front as such.

I live a few miles up the road from Banham zoo i have a good bit of permission within hundreds of yards from it and i have a couple of plummers and a bull x.So relax i got any escapes in hand without all that banging of big guns going on....

Seen my old plummer terrier grow very old very quickly this year and at 12 i'm thinking about her going more and more and i'm thinking the same shall i do it or a pal?.You do whats best for yourself and the dog in these situations,be quick for the dog but also it's your last look at the dog so getting a mate to do it isn't a bad thing as long as the dog is pre occupied and not looking for you as such then all will be as well as it can be between you Jigsaw.Gutted for you and i know at times i'm far to soft for our life with working dogs but i wish you all the best and strength to you bud..

A bit different in that a bored collie might try to round up the kids,a bored acd x WILL destroy your house,p*ss off the neighbours and make you want a valium script.. They are clever dogs that thrive on difficulty, not abuse or a heavy hand as such but they just have that extra something and if they were a battery they'd be Durracells..

Or it could make her even shyer of picking up furry things?,give her time as i'm sure after a few kicks in the face from a big old rabbit she'll bite them harder to calm them down though..
