There in suffolk down along the coast, those moorland things are like old goats compared .

Was out on a shoot this morning and due to the sun shining and a wind to dry anything out we didn't really expect to find but we showed willing and you don't find feck all sat at home with dogs sat bored in kennels,so we set off and as we checked and walked many places and hedge rows and blanked.Well we had one final place to check and we'd had one out of there a month or so back and yep that was empty as well, but you don't just check the holes you know and i let my old( 12 1/2 years old) plummer bitch work the rest of the hedge row and she squeezed into a tight little place and settled at a m

He's a peddler and mates with a scummy dog thief so he'll find you something i'm sure ...
-
Sounds an interesting fella who i bet had a story or two to tell, RIP Lennie and nice one for telling us about him.Respect to you Flacko ..
-
As it goes your almost right but there's some that have just done their thing and held certain lines together and i'd say improved things from the gassy trouble making types of the past that a lot were known for being, but again the same could be said of nuttal or gouldy stuff or what ever type or breed of terrier..
-
I'm not totaly sure when it was done l think maybe the 90's and a bull was used, she had a bit of farmer boy and scotsman blood in her but was a pet and was untried, the real deal he wanted to use he wasn't allowed to use.Have a search of Legion bred dogs and that was the kennel that plummer used when he outcrossed, but again there's pures as such that are very much equal in every way build wise and it the outcross caused the hassle it did within the breed as many thought it wasn't needed..
-
The same can be said of every breed of working dog mate let alone terriers,if it were that easy every one would have a winner and jackers would be something we call crackers with jam on..I do get what you mean though but it's that's what most folk get them for and the dogs themselves don't get a chance to widen their horizon's but those that do do find there can be more to them than just bushing and ratting.

I lost a cracking bitch with his blood in her just before xmas, she had some boots to fill following my old bitch but she was ticking every box and i'm still f*cking gutted about it..But if your looking for a dog with plenty of his blood in it then he was a lets say a very driven dog and his blood carries those traits so they need to be kept busy.but are a willing to please dog in general..
-
Try the dogs homes for a terrier that was to active and driven for the average pet owner in a city,i'll have a bet there's a few different terrier types to choose from. But try the plummer pages on face book as there's sometimes a pup or two advertised on them..

The bit you or the dog carries mate is the transmitter, the rescuers carry the receiver, but we got what you ment....
-
That can happen and does happen in any sort of earth or pipe where a fox has the upper hand in position and will punish a dog if it can..
-
Ortovox make a transmitter that strong stuff made a collar for that works ok,it is a bit bulky as it is around the size of a match box but i never had any crushing issues when anything had hold of it,nor did it seem to hinder the dog getting through tight places so bellman ain't the only collar you have to use but it is the best out the two to be honest...
-
I use one myself and as it goes although the harness thing looks a bit rambo and daft it is a handy bit of kit to keep the box safe and not pushed back into the hole with the backfill. Mine is tapped to as that bleep sure does get to you eh ,swapped from a ortovox box as it broke and just didn't fancy a red brick and the hassles iv'e heard about them..Pieps box is all good and does what it's ment to..

I'd say that's a hen bird and she's sat on teazle ,

Something along those lines griff was a burner i saw many years ago in a garage workshop,it was a reamess (spelling, but big pot bellied cow boy style thing) which had a oil feed and a water feed into it and the water dripped more than the oil to flare the flame up so burning the oil better.Your a clever fella so your'll get the gist but something you lot in the outter sticks might be able to use for your workshops etc..
-
Holding the hand that held the world cup,as close as your'll ever get...?..
-
Yeah there's folks out there breeding decent plummers looks wise, but my old 12 1/2 year old bitch is barrel chested, pigeon toed and a tad snipey but when i broke through to her at 1.5 to one in the pot going no where yesterday the last thing i was thinking was, she's not a good looking plummer., look at some of the new blooded dogs for the type your after if you like the bull headed type but there are a few pure lines about producing still. If your on face book have a look at the plummer pages on there as folk are open enough about whats about on them..
-
The sticky stuff sticks to the wings and will stop a bird from flying, they'd use talc powder to remove the tack once they've caught the bird.
-
There'll be a few big bird sales coming up soon, the east of england and newark, also try the cage and aviary bird paper as i looked in one the other week while just in a shop as such and was suprised at how many british birds for sale add's there were in it..
-
I got a pair of british army winter karrimores that are exactly the same as those and never once have my feet been cold,i dig in them, beat there always in some sort of mud and filth and they cost me 45 quid at the army surpless store in Norwich.Bloody best boot iv'e ever had and i wreck a boot without trying and these are coming up a year old and still perfect.
-
I'd say when you think of a jumper instead of giggling like a kid when you hear or read those words is about the time...
-
Yeah of course,we believe you as it's not like your full of sh*t or anything is it?...
-
Then again you get some tenant farmers who think they own the place and do all they can to put a spanner in the workings of a shoot, estates can be even more fickle than one man can ever be....
-
Stick in the muds really, one keeper we have don't give two fecks as he says the birds come back after a shoot day and you two can't be any noisier than that,Another estate lets us anytime bar shoot days, but about half our land just won't have it and that is just the way it is...
-
End of the shooting season means i have more land i have to go on now as the keepers don't want me on there till it's finished and i'd have a bet a few fella's will be going at it a bit more now rather than bringing to an end,i know we will be....
