    I once had a bunch of irish travellers totaly convinced i'd eaten the front leg off a lurcher who we had that only had 3 legs,told them i was stuck up a welsh mountain and was snowed in for a few months and she was to good a dog to have killed and eaten so i knocked her out and cut off her leg and eaten it to keep me from starving.One of them got all shitty when i ended up laughing and giving the game away and when he jumped up all chest puffed out the 3 legged dog pulled him to the ground and we all laughed that bit harder...

    Yes as you will catch in a run more than once anyway and being nearly caught once by something it don't know what it is isn't enough to make a fox totaly run shy.it also won't ever catch hung on the shed wall either.?..

    Once upon a time he had russell's that worked hundreds of foxes that much is very true,were they of his own breeding or off a line he put together that produce regular workers is a different thing,i don't want to sound like i'm slagging a dead man who has dug more foxes than i ever will but he was banned for life from keeping dogs due to them being kept in shitty conditions so he means feck all to me respect wise,i was asking a genuine question..

    Not seen him for a couple of years as it goes,we did fall out and won't be mates again but i do look back on our times out together with fondness ..

    Iv'e seen a dog die from running with a full belly,it was a pals dog that had just been fed and was walking on waste land just to empty itself when a hare got up.Iv'e never seen a dog in so much distress with no outward injury as such and she died on the way to the vets,she was a very well bred youngster of coursing blood and i'll allways give it at least 4 hours after feeding till i even walk a dog since that day...

    I know what you mean joe but a hare is a hare and ain't it just the fen land that makes them the best hares? ,but honestly it is totaly different sport when the going is in the deer's favour and they were me and a pals favourite quarry for a few years.

    Got one like that myself but not as posh and a trail cam,some good socks and a proper thermos flask,oh yeah she gave me a proper sorting out in the bedroom as well so a grand xmas was had by me..

    On arable land yeah any old lurcher can/should catch them,on flooded water meadow every day at them soon shows whats half decent of that i'll give you that joe,lol.

    As it goes i once saw a merlin and eve bred dog catch 64 cwd on the trot,i won't say 64 out of 64 slips as the fecker more than once ran on after pulling one down and once we had hold he'd run on and catch another.A big muntie buck put it's antler through the dogs neck and out it's ear one night and that was the end of that old dog,shit day time hare dog mind

    I know a few years back someone took a pair out to either Aus or NZ,maybe ask Keeps pn here as i'm sure the fella was a member on her old plummer forum. But as for size folk are starting to get on top of bringing the size down and they range from 11 to 15 inches like most types do,iv'e just lost a young plummer bitch to a fight with my lurcher who was 11" and was first to get the collar on next time out , gutted ain't the fecking word ?.She was a remlap bred bitch and had Vandal plenty back in her ped,as for Derek he's in south wales not Middlesbourgh MG ...

    I do as it goes often trip back to west wales where i used to live before moving east and i'll be that way come spring for a touch of coastal fishing so i'll deffo be in touch at some point mate and again,that's a cracking offer and i hope he does you well for it....

    Just keep trying Mr r3d as most folk on here contary to what they like folk to think once started with feck all and it was only luck that put them with meeting terrier men that helped start them off anyway.It ain't the shy child that gets the sweets and if you don't ask then go without,Iv'e been lucky enough to have been gifted terriers from folk that iv'e pretty much met through being on here and got chatting to,met at a few shows and just generaly built up a friendship and trust with them and that led to being offered either pups or working terriers.It isn't a rushed thing and like all good

    I was living on a party site around Northampton and every weekend we'd put a free party on,under the M1 one night,in a old railway tunnel,all sorts of places but one time we put on a party on a old airfield we were parked up on and someone turned up with a load of fancy dress costumes,elvis,bat man,a circus ring master and a few others.A few folk grabbed one each and there was one left and by this time the pills were taking affect good o ?and i ended up raving the night away in a pink tootoo with a sparkly silver top with angel wings,feck knows what those pills were but i had a ball that night
