I put some pics up the other day on my facebook of a squirrel and a crow a game keeper i know has reared from bold youngsters, the squirrel is running loose and has a tree box to sleep in and the crow is also loose to do what it want's and both go running/flying to him.He kills hundreds of vermin every year but god help anyone they harm these ones,a few of my old hippy pals just can't see hunting/fishing/shooting being beyond just killing shit and were amazed by the pics...

Many thanks for replying mate and i'd thought of putting some matting as such over the side just to make sure type thing,my one has a merc on it and at 115 HP with a 175 brain in it it does get you there rather sharpish. We got it for off shore as we have a bonwitco 400 with a 25 HP Yamaha for the inshore bits we do,thanks again and please keep the posts coming...

I see you fish from a RIB/SIB and catch good sized fish,i take it you use good sized hooks and do you ever get any problems with punctures?.I'm asking as i have a big RIB and am a bit worried about hooks and punctures but i doub't i'll be using hooks your size so if you have no problems then hopefully neither will i ... Cracking fish by the way and thanks for posting, what is that the trout had in it?.

Maybe one of them will stand up and realize there the champs and what they say does matter, who the feck are promoters without the boxers? and i'd have thought a old ex pro would have sort of set up a promotion firm that suits the boxers rather than the promoters by now they way boxers seem to be treated... Just saying and i know feck all about the in's and out's of how the boxing world works...

I don't do a lot if any fresh water fishing due to not really knowing how to bar what i learnt as a kid with a maggot and crap float, have sort of tried and caught a few chub in the meantime but always a bit envious of you chaps who can..

Nearer you than me mate ,we get them a few miles out here and just waiting for some nice weather to get further out on the new boat..

Just back in and a cracking little session, only about 30-40 killed but the folk really enjoyed the spectacle and just digging the rats gave the sport that has got us a right old lump of permission on the rest of the farm with a wonderful very old spring fed pond that's a good size with good sized fish in it to..Did smoke out a few holes but did better digging the marks the dogs made, will say a keeper pal who came brought his sausage dogs and one was well into the rats and i'll try to get some pics of it some time as it's size sure don't stop it from getting stuck in..

I always have just let the dogs do what they want sniffing smoking holes and never seen any dog get wobbly from doing so either Don, iv'e seen terriers go limp due to clodded up mouths and having their muzzles up holes when ratting and no smoker was being used those times. They just have a sniff then wait if they smelt a rat or just move on and it always amazed me how the feck they do smell them with all that smoke, i'm off out ratting later as it goes and the spade is being used rather than a smoker as it's more user friendly and the folk who's place it is have never seen live ratting so it'

That they do, dug many a stone dead rat out after the smoker has been used and the terriers have marked them still..

It's taken us about 4 or 5 years to suss the area we fish and have bought and sold a few boats to find the one we have now, plenty of effort and a good few quid to have gone towards us knowing what we know .We'll take folk out no probs but i won't really tell them where we go,but the water we fish will kill you,it's a place you got to be on the ball all the time and GL will tell you one wrong wave and your in fecking TROUBLE as you won't stop going out to sea for a good while such is the currant. So if folk want to try without us.......

Had a call yesterday from my pal saying i'm going fishing with or without you, without me like fcuk you are .We were planning on doing the same as with GL the other day,bit of trolling then off onto the shallows for a bit of casting. We set off in a far bigger breeze than was forecast and that sort of put paid to how we were going to do things as there was a good chop in some places with the wind being against the tide and i did get a cold wet lap full ,but who dares wins and you got to go where the fish are so we cracked on and hit into some better fish right on the edge of a rough bit.Lost a

A pal i used to hunt a lot with had a merlin eve bred dog,a very very good small deer dog that had a run of 64 out of 64 on cwd.we used to take hundreds of them and my bull/mally cross lurcher that was as wide as she was tall but only 23" stood up better and lasted longer than his dog did on them. It was down to frame and body substance, his dog was fitter than mine as it would do 20 + miles of road work every night plus what it ran from the road as it followed the motor rather than slipped from a window where as mine got walked in the evening and ran at night as i am a working man.Mine could h

Sorry and no disrespect intended bud ,it's just you do seem to be breed blind to a bit of a silly state and i cannot see why or reason for it as if you have been out and done a bit around the country as such then you would see other breeds do do better than a saluki does or would in their field as such.
-
And there we have why mchull is so smitten, daddy used to breed them ..
-
Pic i was given, bit messed up but still ok for a free bee..it is a original and not a copy..

Ok then miss out the word native from in front of the word Hare , you all use proven distance running dog blood for the stamina do you not? and that sort of proves my point. Distance running dog for catching a sprinting animal ,sorry mate they impress me not.....
-
Because the coursing men couldn't breed a native dog that would fill their need to kill hares,so they use a distance runner from other shores to kill a native sprinting animal. .

Your more than welcome to come for a day out Don, we got a couple of promises to carry out and i'll be in touch. We were talking about having a camp out down here and spend some relaxed time fishing, eating drinking and bullshitting each other, we'll deffo have sort it and will be seeing you soon..

Many old farms and bigger/richer house have old ponds which are called "Stew Ponds" and these were for the friday fish feast that all good christians did, mirror carp were bred because they are easier to descale than the common as such and it was monks who did this also..

I have never been a cow man but one thing i do know is a weak jawed dog like everyone thinks is like a old smithfield would get it's face kicked off it by a cow and these days it's only got to get it from the field into a lorry. The old smithfields used to drive them cattle hundreds of miles on green lanes without loosing them,a weak jawed dog than can't grab a hock is no good to any drover in any time of history...
