  1. Hope no one is thinking about buying the wheeler pups that are on epupz in norfolk as the breeders have been nicked in the past for cruilty to dogs and couldn't work a dog if it did the digging to itself, please don't anyone buy these pups the breeders a scroat of the highest order .
  2. I've got 3 canaries flying with a goldie cock and i have mixed my canary seed with finch seed and niger,i also have food bowls with a mix of the tonic seed, sunflower seed, egg food and finch tonic mix and also a good bunch of fresh chickweed hanging. My birds do seem to go for the oilier seed first but they do eat there way through everything in the bowls,my mules get the same diet as well as wild food/seed when in season as it were. Now this is my first year at this so no expert in anyway but this is how i feed my birds and if it sounds like i'm doing anything wrong please don't be shy and put m
  3. I got rid of my chooks now but the hens would let the sparrows and dimmocks feed along side them but my cockrel would try to kill them and did so many times .
  4. Nice one chaps,Bunnys the reason i thought i had a cock and hen is one is heavier built and stands a bit more proud than the other one it also has a better imature song(for want of a better phrase)the other just twitters, time will tell so they say .
  5. Thanks,do you think they'll colour up more next spring when they moult again?, either way like i say i'm happy with them and can't wait for him to sing properly.
  6. Did have a little mess up with the colour feeding during the moult and don't know how much of a impact it made but we live and learn by our mistakes and i'm happy with them anyway, quite sure i've a cock and hen here as well.
  7. Been bitten lamping one night on the back of my hand, fecking hurt and made me drop the rabbit,a pal also had one latch on and drew plenty of blood.Have allways wondered why more don't do it.
  8. Wasn't being funny mate, just trees are bare here and the ground covers quite down also .
  9. Lol phesant, she's just a fox dog mate and at that job from what i've seen(and i know i ain't got years of earthwork behind me,but i've done a bit) she holds her own.No way knocking any terrier i've seen work as i wouldn't do their job but some have been medlers and some have set no foot wrong and deserve the title proven worker and they've all come from different strains and kennels. So not comparing plummers to parks,nuttalls,stevens,nuttall/wheeler or gouldy/hickling bred terriers as such just saying what i see with my own eyes sort of thing.
  10. You lot take things to heart to much and if you took my comment as seriouse then get a grip ,seen a few nuttall terriers work and most have done the job without fault i will say as credit due where credit is due and saying that moo,my plummer i dig with hasn't yet been shown up by either the nuttall, parks, stevens or wheeler/nuttall terriers i've also dug to over the last year or two whilst doing game bird protection .
  11. The blokes a proper twat and i am one of the "many others" but he wasn't wrong helping exspose the warrener as a dog thief.
  12. I'd heard they bulge because these days you got to kick them so hard up the arse to get them to ground it makes their eyes pop .
  13. Good do lads, but ain't it winter there yet with all those leaves on the trees and the amount of ground cover you still got there?.
  14. Well done and more folk to help move muck i'd say ,checked one of my pig farms today and the runs and used holes are saying me and my terriers are out ratting this week as well.
  15. Every silver lining has it's cloud .
  16. The way we'd all want our dogs to go Penda(if not ourselves),out in the field doing whats best! .Like what folk have said she'll let you know when time comes to start slowing her down, that little longer she lies in for, maybe a little stiffness about her movement, all signs but if you know your dog your'll know when.I was out with a 13,14 year old collie x lurcher today and she marked and flushed as well as she ever did, she'll get a day off tomorrow for her own good but if her owner would let her she'd be up for another mooch out on the lamp tonight.
  17. Brave coppers?,not sure about that but you are right in it being a choice, shame most just choose to be twats.
  18. Close to you and will keep the old ears open,a mates shoot has put up wooden built ones to stop them being nicked all the time.
  19. Just back in from a mooch out myself and no joy on the game front, still better out with the dogs than sat idle.At least you seem to have a nicer bit of weather than us down here, rain and cold wind.
  20. Anyone know what murcury's worth?.
  21. I have a pal who some on here know who has been breeding his own line of colliex's for a few years now,i'll not put up any pics until i've spoken to him later and i'm sure he won't mind but your'll have to wait a bit to see them, lol.
  22. How do you get the paperwork for a bop say hit by a car?.
  23. Just a couple of pics taken today, due to a little brotherly rough play the stripe faced pup does have a little swelling on his head but he's been checked at the vets and nothing to worry about, just being upfront before the mob starts the goings on they do .
