Been asked by a pal if i know about blocked crop in chickens and i don't know much,just to massage the crop until the lump breaks down and thats it so any one help please???.

I'm doing a mole job for a old boy i do the gardening for and i'm charging him feck all as he used to fly lanc bombers in the war,the extra derv it's costing me for doing this job is feck all compared to what those boys did for all of us during the war.It's my good deed for the month .

Just take him to where there's plenty of game and learn to read your dog on when he picks up a scent,then help him follow it up but be all nice and calm about it.Only when he catches show a little excitment that he done well,good dog work is team work and not just leaving it up to the dog to do all the work.Just hang in there,give him the chance and who knows you might just flick that light on in his head and he'll do all asked of him,best of luck.

I myself would not move a nest with eggs or chicks in for fear of the hen abandoning it,but that cage will do until the chicks fledge.

Good variety of nesting stuff Moll,just make sure she has plenty to mess about with as some bits she'll reject.I also give my birds the dog hair after i've brushed our the dogs as they seem to like the wolfhounds hair more than the soft nesting stuff i have bought,you can't have to much nesting avalable but not enough can cause problems and stress for the birds.That cage will sort of do but it'll get crowded if she has a good brood hatch off and i'd try to get a bigger one before she nests down proper myself,best of luck with them though . Quick edit i also give my breeding hens a cuttlefish

Jakk and Matt you both make sence in what you both say and one major issue which is allways over looked is most folks who do have plummers and "get out with them" only work rats and rabbits so very few ever get the chance to try thier luck in the earth and opon that note thats why there's very few that do work to ground.As a ratting,bushing,general purpose sporting terrier they do take some beating as they have a very good nose on them in general and plenty of stamina(one ratting session with a plummer pack went on for 13 hours and the farmer gave up counting the rats at 1400+)and they are in

. Fuuck me I only lamp rabbits for fecs sake and he knows it but has sworn to report any vehicle he sees parked up at suspicious hours includin mine. Swap his number plates onto a few suspicious looking cars and see how anti he stays when his door goes in at 5 in the morning

It's been early may round pembrokeshire before the nice sized ones turn up and those folk around cardigan should keep their eyes peeled at low tide off the footbridge over the river near the town center bit(not the big bridge on the main road) towards the end of may.Had them up to 5lb+ on a bubble floated rubber eel or a live sand eel off the footbridge,no shops for many miles that sell them live though and take a drop net as we know what happens to big fish lifted in the air .

Just asking but can you get NO 3 pistols or would they just be 9mm hand guns?.Also how legal is using a bolt gun for dispatch as i can't see an argument against it seeing as they are used in slaughter house day in day out?.

If you were my mate telling the world how good my dog was and how much i'd been offered for it i'd be far from being happy about it and does he know about this thread? ,i know the irish are thought of as being thick but mate don't try to prove it true .

I'm trying some greenie mules this year as well as the goldie mules again,shame your not breeding any chaffies this year as i will be wanting a pair towards the end of the year.Best of luck with the others though
