    Sorry no pics but i was driving along the A14 at cambridge and saw hares boxing today,there were 2 bucks hassling a doe and even driving past at 60 mph it was good to watch them really going at it.Very early i know and maybe the break in the weather has triggered them into thinking spring is here allready,don't know but thought i'd mention what i'd seen.

    Don't live to far from you myself(diss way)and there are a few lads in the area that do a bit,plenty of game when you know where to look around you as well.

    Put up a poll who can do what with there terriers and you might be surprised just what plummers can do mate,don't know many pats or lakies or even russells for that matter who can hold there own on a shoot,be it picking up or flushing but i know of a few plummers that can and the same dogs can earthwork also .

    Wouldn't call my bitch a digging bitch,she's a busher,ratter, a dog i can take anywhere for a spot of sport be it duck,poultry,pig,cattle,sheep pens,sheds,rearing units and no worries about her running amock.I can and do also have a dig with her and she's stuck to her task at game bird protection,she's a lot lighter in build than steve's dog and has her faults but who cares she gives me 100% all the time and she pleases me and imo job done.     Here are a few pics of a litter brother to the bitch i lost lost last year,he belongs to Caterpillar on here and so i'm told he is a very good ferreting dog indeed and not a dog who just goes ferreting . The ferret had caught it's rabbit just inside the hole and rather than rush in grabbing at what it can't see,he's letting his owner know what happened. Cool and controled. In this pic a stranger has walked close by and see how the dog has pushed in and is looking to make sure the stranger is no threat a strong acd trait ,the lad by the way is not the owner but is very well known b

    Toka is right in the fact you can get what you want in a plummer terrier but niether of those plummer sites allows digging pics so how there'll help you i don't know.

    Mental stimulation is needed for any animal sat idle not just dogs,i've seen more bored working dogs sat in empty kennels waiting to go out than bored pets sat with nothing to do.Most pets have someone around the house or something more to do than sitting looking through bars so i'd say it's more likely to be stupid folks getting the wrong sort of dog to start with and not thinking about the sort of dog for there needs be it pet or work,as long as a dog has an out let for it's drive,energy or what ever you call it most dogs will settle in either pet or work homes if raised that way from the st

    I'll sort out a pic tomorrow for you but it's just a cheap strimmer that the shaft to the cutting end had snapped and to be honest i just kept bending it till it snapped right off,snipped the drive cable thingy inside and then i welded a bit of longer pipe to the exhaust,you could try at a mower repair man if he's got an old stimmer or small chainsaw that runs but is fecked lying around or you could just go buy a brand new strimmer and take off the stem properly and saying that you can get them cheeper than a rat attack smoker jobby.

    I use a cut down strimmer,nice and light and not to noisey but chucks out the smoke and was free .

    Unless you have your dogs on slips or leads all the time when out for a mooch about this will and does happen to most folk,recon there'll be a few rightous answers coming but i liked they way that lurcher picked up that scent,used it's nose to find and the way the other lurchers picked up on what the first dog was doing,got on the ball,flushed and caught it.So what it took 30 seconds to catch it,they caught it,the owner was pleased enough to you tube it so whats the problem with it?,there his dogs that please him.
