Recon you need to raise your game if that wind up is the best you can do ,i'd stick to jacking or summer hare hunting seems your better at that oh stained by the past .
-
So glen how many stud dogs or brood bitches in your kennels are 100% workers, meaning fully tested proven terriers and not just bushing dogs?.

Go to your local show or go ratting?
fireman replied to Hedge_hunter27's topic in Earthdogs & Working Terriers
Better to work them than look at them in a ring and looks like you had fun .I did the same a couple of weeks back, had a few hours at threshing with my 2 dog terriers as the bitches were all in season and the lads needed a venting of pent up steam and it was ratting or a show 40 rats,2 vented happy terriers and a slightly chilled kennel block! . -
In fact glen a lot of us belive very little from the divvy's that have the breed at heart, old hands inclueded .Just for the record it was the rat net maker who told me the story about the dogs being tied up and you are the first i've heard to question the story,as for what went in only plummer himself would know truely that and unless you can talk to the dead no one will ever know for sure.

Two Legged Squirrel......there's a first
fireman replied to Rolfe's topic in Snaring, Trapping & Pest Control
Wouldn't the stumps not ever totaly heal as when the squirel climbs it would have to use at least one of those chopped limbs and i could see them staying open or being opened or made sore easily, hence one being nearly healed and one still sore. They could be old wounds if what i've said makes sence and even be from the nest if the parents nested in industrial buildings, air vents with fans type of thing or even the church tower with the bell swinging rig.A puzzle only the great Ace Ventura pet decetive could solve . -
Plummer tied them dogs up to Curtis's gate and imo plummer wained his responcibilty of the breed when he did that, good fortune??????? only he could answer that i recon .

That fella just said a mate of his put a tank over his bird cage while he cleaned out their flight and a number of spars hit the tank thats all,i've had one tangle in some pea netting i had over my poults last year found it dead in the morning when feeding my birds. Now i did feel a bit sorry for it as it was only a young un but was also glad it won't be coming back as it's parents have seen off a few of my doves as well, you've got to be out in the field a lot to know what the true numbers are and if they need to be controled and i'd say the lads who have said as much are out there and do know

moorman, quality work standard from you and your terriers there glen and it's best you do leave those earths alone these days .

What sort of dog in the plummer make up would have produced a coat like that Pointer, you say it was a accidental brother/sister mating so they both were carriers as such of the long coated gene.Just wondering what would have brought that gene/coat into the pool as it were?,will add i've seen a few pure plummers looking a little rough collie like in shape but none with such a rough coat.

A plummer thread turning into silly b*ll*cks .
-
Your right there longnetter a proper them hedgehogs and all the country bull about pissing on them to open them up just leaves you with wet p*ss smelling hands and nets. .
-
Your terriers go to any fecker who will pay the money glen thats who and correct me if i'm wrong but i only thought you bred 2-3 litters a year so why the need for weekly adverts and the boasts of waiting lists?.Billy bullshitter i thinks and to be honest any fecker with a plummer bitch will have a waiting list for pups so no big boast really unless your a puppy peddler with a big self centered ego(sound like anyone you know glen? ).
-
Not bashing the plummer terrier at all, only you glen but don't cry were only mockin .A little advice though little gems like "there's no art to fox work" don't help your case of being taken seriously, you really couldn't make it up could you? .
-
You mean a bitch like my one Wirral countryman, . The offer i made you still stands if you don't come up with anything.
-
Thought you would have done better than that glen, bit disapointed to be honest .Still appendix op just about healed now so i can get out again and find my sport else where as it's got a bit boring here. But one thing though glen, you being a water baliff does suit you as you do provide a bite with every cast we make . Very nice looking pup indeed Pointer . Well said Shiney shovel (you will have folks saying otherwise about the plummer but as with those other breeds, the proof is in the pudding!).
-
My bitch is straight in and likes to mix it a bit ,do sometimes hear her bay but not often and as she's not a big bitch she can get a bit of stick at times but the only time she cares is when you lift her out at the end as all she wants is back in and back to it.
-
Glen again you seek a little attention out of nothing by saying we do our best, bushing for rabbits or giving them a mink once in a while from a trap ain't work in the true sence and what was ment was earthworking plummers, something you freely admit to not doing so why you here on a working plummer thread? .
-
Blah,blah,blah,zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.
-
Thugs digging and blood and guts pics???????? .Seems again glen you show your true colours and actualy say out loud what you think of lads who dig .Think your on the wrong section mate, the show topics are what your looking for!.
-
Glen you are so full of it ,breed for the breed????,then why do you charge for them as WE ALL KNOW it don't cost anything like £250-300 to rear any pup of any breed. Also none of the folks in charge of any of the plummer clubs will or have listened to the fact that you lot in charge are most of the problem and folks have been saying this for years,so why join a club that you lot are the dictators in?.What can you do for us?feck all unless we blow smoke up your arses and more and more folk are opening thier eyes to the fact and thats why your club members are mostly new owners of plummer terri
-
Orders piling in and only maybe 3 litters a year ,other, pull, the one .As for backing out on the clubs etc issues maybe Bill like myself and many others have had our say and to be honest glen were waisting our breath trying to tell you lot "in charge" that your most of the problem with the continuing rows, you do what you want to do,say what you want to say and if any body ever says different were put down as trouble.I don't mind what i'm called, was a hippy traveller that still hunted for many years so been called everything from both sides and delt with it but hey ho thats life,i chose it and

Answering you just encourages you, makes you mistaken in the belief anyone really gives a f*ck what you say any more glen.Best you carry on converting the irish lads to the plummer terrier and maybe with better success than your last topic about it did .
-
Still showing the world what a pr*ck you are then glen and everyone can see just how low your'll stoop for a bite by trying bring a mans wife and kids into things, but thats you and what we expect.Best of luck with the next cast .
-
Tinytiger crack on with what your doing mate, most of us that do earthwork their plummers have well done the waisting our breath bit on trying to convince the "the real terrier world"there are a few that can do a bit.We just get on with what we know and have our fun with our dogs and best of luck with what your doing.

Well said stormyboy, just about says it all apart from the weekly adds in the cmw, occasional litter! .
