    Caught them in the states and some can fight too .pliers a must when unhooking though lol We have them on our local gravel pit plus a long nosed turtle that is a bit of a celeb .

    It's not a wind problem ,nothing wrong with heart or lungs just a slight deformity in the nasal cavity .Intake of breath irritates ,that I do know ,causing what's called reverse sneezing back the other way resulting in the noise associated .I've never known a dog be any lesser for it BUT fitness and weight or lack of and too much of are probably the greatest factors to trigger the symptoms . Edited to say I don't think any one breed is responsible for it ,it's the product of breeding tight in any line though the terrier breeds seem more prone .I've seen it in all types from all lines .

    If it's any consolation mate I have lived with it on and off all my life with dogs and sounds a lot worse than it is .Fitness calms it, stress exacerbates it .I've bred away from it only to reintroduce it through another avenue .Get the weight off and you see a marked improvement .

    Head keeper I learnt under was as miserable as sin .Good on you for combining family time with pest control .

    Any bop is only as good as the size of its feet .The buzzard has tiny feet as does the kite in comparison to say a gos or Harris of similar size .I had a buzzard for two seasons and it only ever caught mice ,was as said bad for flopping down on insects especially crane flies. They are good birds to teach the starter in respect of weight calculating as they seem to stay hungry far longer than other birds .My bird would come to a chick even when stuffed whereas the Harris would be wild on his first . Kites as commen as buzzards here now and ravens a daily sound ,even saw a pair of hen harriers

    Don't get worked up G ,those that know you ,know your a fair straight talker with nowt to hide .Very easy to get drawn into a slanging match that escalates into near fighting all stemming from something silly on here .Who cares who does what as long as we are truthful to ourselves and the dogs .Those that piss us off should be forgotten, not dwelt upon .

    Crows will mob ANY bird of prey from merlins to eagles but need the high ground to do so .Birds of prey rarely engage in conflict as a damaged bird is a dead bird .

    I may be full of myself ,I may be arrogant but digging to dogs is what I've done all my life to many ,many different types ,breeds and terriermen .The one thing that binds every single decent dog ,in my humble opiniin ,is the desire to engage when the digging is very close no matter it's style .This in my opinion is when most dogs receive the most stick .Others will have different opinions but this is my own take on years of observation.     Can't vouch for how much work you get for the tykes Glyn but I do know your extremely lucky to work a dog regular without losing anything or getting bit .I'm jealous to the point of wondering if it's real .
