Depends where you live mate but some areas of Great Britian [pc version was gonna say ENGLAND] are not that ENGLISH now! Some parts of Wales and Scotland (possible N. Ireland i dont know) have never been and still aren't very English, well linguistically speaking anyway.....(Sorry masmiffy couldnt resist that one LOL ) Cheers Aled

Guys i been a fan of the Pogues since i was a wee lad and they had to change their name from Pogue Mahone (Gaelic for Kiss my ass) to The Pogues, bet Shane Macgowan is really worried about this could it mean that a load of his other classics get banned from sale...... For some reason every Friday night after we've put my son to bed, wife and i enjoy a large G&T each in front of the TV. A bit camp but ooohhh who cares...... :kiss: However i am rather fond of whiskey and Jamesons and Laphroig are two i'm rather fond of, however i'm with Blackbob now its Penderyn, Welsh Whiskey sadly its rather expensive but i dropped my wife a large hint for an Xmas present so lets hope... Apparently black rabbits were bred because their skins weer used to make those russian style of hats, which were quite popular at one time. I used to see one quite regularly at a park where i was a warden. It managed to survive mixy. Cheers Aled

Did a bit of rough shooting on Monday, brother, mate, and his terrier and spaniel. Saw about 15 woodcock, we bagged three between us (none for me) however i did manage a rabbit Brother had his first woodcock, and was really pleased with his first duck as well. Mate added a snipe as well. Good old fashioned rough shoot. Cheers Aled

My son has a condition called Phenylketoneurea (PKU) which means he has a very strict diet (his body cant process protein the way most of us can). The most important thinh to avoid is Phenylaline and aspartime both of which are found in Diet drinks, these substances are toxic to his brain. It seems hes not the only one. Sympathies to all. Theres some really interesting life stories here. Some people have had a hard time. One thing i do know is that we on this web site have a huge advantage over the vast majority of the population, when things are not quite going as well as they should be we all know where to go ........hunting, shootin or fishin Another thing is its great to see so many lady hunters on here, where were you all in single days???? My wife is a farmers daughter so she has no problems with the actual act of hunting, shooting or fishing. However since the birth of our son, we do have to manage my time far more carefully than i used to and neither of us has as much time to take part in our hobbies as often as we used to. Still cant wait to get him involved. So time is a greater problem with us than actually hunting! Tight Lines Aled

There are business start up groups who can give you advice and help you write out a busines plan. There are at least here in Wales start up grant to get you going as well. Visit the job centre and they can point you in the right direction. Cheers Aled

Being a Dad/Husband unlike other people i quite enjoy it. Fishing and Fly tying, but i count them both as hunting related activities. I play rugby for a local club (2nd Xv and veterans only now!), also watch a bit of rugby, passionate and one eyed supporter of Glamorgan County Cricket Club, although the one eye has been shut the last two years! I enjoy reading, and a bit of fun/fitness mountain biking. Cheers Aled

Hello Guys OK i have no experience whatsoever of working terriers (only a bit with working gundogs) however i've read a lot on this forum about bushing terries, and read Colin Willox (Town gun in Shooting Times at one time) about his terriers. Could somebody suggest a good book on working terriers especially bushing terriers because guys i'd like to learn more. Any help appreciated. Cheers Aled

Cheers Guys The Dubliners of course knew i'd left somebody out their still playing live i believe.. Saw them at the Welsh Folk Festival in 1990 and they were men of mature hues then, but boy did they get the crowd going Heres one a bit more obscure, a Scotish instrumental band called Shooglenifty, i've heard their music on many tv adverts and on sport highlights, but dont think they ever went mainstream.
