    rugby

Must say Kiwi i feel the WRU embarressed us true Welsh Rugby supporters last Saturday. I agree the Haka should of been done on the pitch before Kick off. What i will say after this tour is if you don't win the World Cup next year with that squad of players there is something very wrong. You have been truly outstanding. Cheers Aled
  3. I really enjoyed reading that I think its great youngsters are involved hope my boy is interested (12 weeks old today) he'll certinly get a chance to take part if he wants to. Cheers Aled
  4. About 4 hours after leaving my message i was driving home and it crossed my mind you were being sarcy! Ah well didn't get it apologies, happens sometimes. :11: Cheers Aled
  5. Sorry guys can't quite understand, the article i read in the independent actually commented how stupid the law is and how the police don't really want to enforce it. Its still available to be read on the Countryside Alliance site. However were there two articles? It does start off being critical of hunting but ends saying how crap the law is. I was pleasantly surprised i expected the fieldsports fraternity to be slated! Cheers Aled ps I have nothing whatsover to do with the paper other than i do buy it occasionally as i buy several others.
  6. Cracking looking youngster congratulations. Mines 10 weeks today. Cheers Aled
  7. I've got it to Ian, i really enjoyed it. Cheers Aled
  8. Used to say "i'd love to see otters back in the valley" well they are back and in force. Every single nights sea trout fishing one turns up. And they are not shy either, up to your waist in water over they come to scare the life out of you when you are concentraiting on your fishing, quite unconcerned about the damage they could do to your nuts with those teeth!!! :11: Anyway have never seen a live wild adder (did find a dead one once) and apparently there are still some pine martens in Wales??? Cheers Aled

    BOOTS

Don't be afraid to try millets or blacks. My mate got a pair for £20 which retailed at £60 in a sporting magazine.I've got a pair of walking boots from blacks at £50 (half price sale) they are very comfartable, warm do the job well and i reckon good value. Cheers Aled
  10. I'm no expert at this game but i would argue if you'd enjoyed yourself you can definately count the day a succesfull one. Sounds good anyway. Well done. Cheers Aled
  11. Dont know mate as I dont fish but I will find out!! Sorry Foxhunter did not explain myself very well saw pictures of your ground and though "cor that looks good all he needs is some trout in that lake and its perfect" hence the above question. Cheers Aled

    Ive moved

I think Baldies got a good point. As a student we used to collect wood from the river bank which got washed down with the floods, used to keep us warm at any rate and cost us nothing but loading it in the car and cutting it. Cheers Aled
  14. Nice walk and a nice bag. Cheers Aled
  15. Went to harvest some sloes with father in law yesterday. Got 2 litres of sloe gin fermenting nicely in the garage. Also found a cracking spot for some rough shooting later in the year. Nice walk out Cheers Aled
  16. I fish the Welsh Rivers (Tywi, Teifi, Taff etc). A good book to read is Hugh Falkus book on Salmon Fishing its got a good section on Worm fishing in there. Tight Lines Aled
  17. The red one makes lovely (oh yes lovely.....) bodies for buzzer imitiation flies. Also handy for carrying salmon back home with on the very rare occasions i catch one! Cheers Aled
  18. Foxhunter i love days like that. Nice one Cheers Aled
  19. Good old fashioned lob worms from the veg patch, in a bunch fished bouncing along the bottom. If you like spinning my personnal favourite is a mepp size 3 or 4 bronze anglia longue Fly's any type of shrimp pattern or a thunder and lightning. But what you really need is loads of self confidence that what you are doing is right, and salmon in your stretch of the river. Tight Lines Aled
  20. I also thoroughly enjoyed his programmes, but like nelson i always thought "sooner or later". Its sad news guys. Cheers Aled

    Most hideous lager

Whats worth noting is that sometimes even cheaper lager tastes OK. The tescoes home brand Dutch Lager (the one up from the blue n red band) is actually quite tidy when served chilled! Anyway Skol not really my favourite pint, can't stomcah special brew, but rather partial to Buckleys Brains IPA Cheers Al

    Shed

Havent got a shed per say but back half of the garage is mine: Usuall outdoor stuff, camo jacket, boots, waders, rods, lamps, plus fly tying bench, small fridge for beer and a cheap argos radio to listen to sport....nice place to relax away from the missus. Cheers Al
  23. The best fly in the entire world is in my opinion the one in which you've got self confidence in. Its better to fish the "wrong" fly well than to fish the "right" fly badly. All the flies put n here though are good fly's Tight Lines Al
  24. Nice one David Thought u been quiet FH. Cheers Al
