  2. imo there excellent pics, but unfortunely the majority of the members on here now are just wankers, always finding fault most probably because they've never seen a dog work and if i had to guess i'd say there's as many of these wankers on here as there is genuine lads/lasses etc probably more even. but surely it's not just just me who's realised just how far downhill these sites are going just lately, hardly any of the original members are posting and with a lot of the replies etc who can blame them . so much for f**k the ban and all the rest of the big man chat, as far as i'm concerned the
  3. all my dogs are bull crosses but if i wanted a dog for mainly rabbiting and retrieving the odd shot fox  i would go for a bedlington/greyhound as i've seen and owned some exellent examples in the past

    Which 4x4?

the shockers dont seem to take the stick mate, and to be honest there too pricey to just rally the shit out of on the land, i blow enough money on legacys

    Which 4x4?

i've just bought a legacy turbo similar to this, the engines are as strong as an ox, plenty of room inside and they go like a rocket, ground clearance is the only problem i know of
  6. i can imagine how you feel jd as i lost my best dog a few weeks back, he looked a fine animal and very capable from what i've heard
  7. rob i bet she was running the same rabbit as my dog :11:

  9. i dont know whats happend to them but they should be great sellers.......................around the sex shops :11: :11:
  10. i always have collars on my dogs as they protect there necks from bites etc and without one it would be impossible to get my dogs off it's quarry should i need to
  11. why do people always moan about shows ? for some it becomes an obsession and for what ? f**k all, a rossette, maybe even a trophy if your lucky, personally i think there all a load of bollocks and imo 90% of the dogs in them have never seen a days graft in there life, even the owners make me laugh with the full real tree outfit and fell boots in the middle of summer. maybe the judges are biased but if i was a judge i would only pick what i would keep in my own kennels, i know it's hard to guess if a dog works or not just from looks but most of the people at these shows could'nt possibly work

    Which 4x4?

a friend of mine makes a living from 4x4's (mainly hi lux and landrovers) he swears by defenders but says that hi lux's are absolutely shite off road. i've never had a defender though or a hi lux but i've driven both and i would have to agree with him. fourtracks are very good of road but lack in space and are only 2 door, i've had a discovery and i thought it was brilliant all round.3.1 troopers are very good but are a bit thirsty on diesel, the chassis always rot on the 2.8 troopers but if you get a good solid one you wont go wrong. i also like range rovers there very comfy and exellent of

    Which 4x4?

i've had loads of fourtraks, the leaf spring models are very bouncy and they are pretty bad for snapping springs, discoverys are good motors but if i had the choice of any 4x4 it would a defender 90

  19. once upon a time i took the dogs out lamping it was before it was ****** of course, any way we were in search of some ***** but all we were getting were ******* but after an hour or so we got this big dog *** then the head gasket went on the car so it was home time and we all lived happily ever after. total 4 of 1 and 1 of the other a pic of the dog *** taken before colour photos even came out:) p.s i hope this post does'nt upset any antis
  20. we've all heard of or even seen dogs off different crosses etc doing stuff we did'nt think was possible but it has been done, i suppose any decent size lurcher could perfect the art of nocking deer over even the bigger types, if it does it then it does it simple. my old dog tyke took stacks of roe in his time day and night regular but he was'nt very good on fallow or sika simply because he did'nt see many but eventually he would get them down after a couple of attempts and he was a collie/bull/greyhound 28"ats and around 70 lb, but i've seen much smaller lighter dogs make it look easy i thi

  22. i think the ultimate allrounder is non existant, thats why i have'nt said any dog is the ultimate allrounder. imo an allrounder has to take everthing single handed day or night regular so that counts me out what about you ? My dogs are not all rounders at all mate,as i have never worked them during the day and as i said they are not lovers of the flashing blades(teeth),i have only ever seen one what imo i would call an all-rounder,he was bought for £20 and he was 3/4 Greyhound x Collie,my friend bought him many years ago off HBG he worked day and night and with ferrets,he could kill a
  23. i think the ultimate allrounder is non existant, thats why i have'nt said any dog is the ultimate allrounder. imo an allrounder has to take everthing single handed day or night regular so that counts me out what about you ? The big difference JOEB mate is exactly what you said "STAMINA" ,i have seen all matter of x's of lurchers running, in almost 30 years of keeping running dogs i personally have never came across anything with the stamina to match a good Minshaw dog, obviously in this time i have seen plenty of very good dogs of all x's,but for an "overall" strain which nearly always p
  24. and to end this here then imo no minshaw can live with a good bull cross were foxes are concerned so stop making out that there the only dog to have, the utimate allrounder because an allrounder has to kill everthing imo on its own regular i'm not saying a minshaw is'nt a better choice for rabbits and hares than a bull cross, the right tool for the right job imo but to say there the only lamping dog to have is bollocks dont you think? p.s i dont have to tell you i'll gladly show you
