if your hearts not in it anymore then fairplay, but why not keep the bullcrosses for lamping rabbits, then if you ever decide you want to take something bigger you'll have the dog for the job i do all my lamping from the subaru and i dont mind saying that the *** has'nt made the slightest bit of difference to me (as far as lampings concerned) usually i'm out 3 - 4 nights a week and i dont bother with rabbits or hares, i've been stopped plenty of times by the law (who dont even seem interested) and never been bothered. as long as you and the motor are all above board and you give an explanat

i went, but arrived a bit late as i was told a lot of people had gone , thet were some tidy lurchers and terriers there aswell, i never took no dogs but i treat them to some nice strong collars and leads , the prices where a bit steep though.

i'd go for a fourtrack, i've got a comercial one at the moment, there very good off road, probably not as good as the landrover but theres a massive difference in price when you compare the 2 on the same year. and i think the fourtrack engine as a lot more power i would'nt even consider a vitara, but one motor that is very budget is a lada niva, imo they can hold there own against any 4x4 the only downfall is there petrol but with them being only 1600 or 1700 cc i would'nt say they would be heavy on juice

i've done a bit of lamping down Grantham recently but i have'nt come accross any roe yet (i'm not saying they are'nt there though) however i've seen a few muntjac and massive herds of fallow, and theres plenty of foxes aswell. i was out last night and seen a few roe, (not Grantham) they were in groups of 2, 4, 5, and 7.and the group of five were all bucks

how much petrol ? how much diesel did he put in afterwards ? how far has he drove it since ? petrol in a diesel is'nt that much of a problem if it was the other way round it would be a lot bigger problem. if you still have doubts get someone to look at it, it could be the head gasket. with troopers the main problem is the chassis which most are rotten and the calipers seize up aswell. i have 2 very good turbo diesel engines here because the chassis were gone on both motors
