  1. i can imagine where i stand, i better get some ferrets sorted out will i be getting a written warning ? why not just delete me because i dont think i'll fit in right on "HARDCORE RABBITING" or "THE RATTING LIFE.COM".
  2. whats the craic with them, after reading 4 pages in flame threads i'm still no wiser ? is there a total ban on fox pics ? do they have to be pre ban ? do they have to of been taken in ireland etc ? is it just no action shots ? i posted pics that were taken well before the ban came into effect, but they were still removed ?. who's to say the pics were'nt taken before the ban, or taken in ireland etc ?. if pics of foxes and lurchers are no longer allowed then should'nt all the pics of deer and hares be removed aswell ?. and as it seems that the law is moderating this site now, will peo
  3. how about a memory lane section for pre ban pics, it would stop all the decent pics and threads getting deleted
  4. your right foxhounds dont have any bull blood in them, but they do have another 30 + foxhounds to give them a hand
  5. i think to many people think they've got "fox dogs" just because there dog kills the odd fox once a blue moon, and to be honest i used to be the same when i was younger and rabbits and hares were my main quarry. imo if you go out mainly lamping rabbits and hares (pre ban) you won't get enough oppurtunitys to test a dog to it's full potential on foxes, i dont run rabbits or hares and because of this i've seen plenty of so called fox dogs throw the towel in when the going gets a bit tough, but i've also seen some very capable dogs aswell and 99% of them had a percentage of bull in there breedin
  6. why not put a few pics up to show people what they should be using then
  7. i think there looking for motors very similar to this

    injury

    i'd have agree with that
  9. i prefer to use the 170 because it's a lot better balanced than the 240, but imo the 240 has a lot stronger beam and will light things up at much greater distance

  15. no mate but i've had a 27lb fox before and this one was definately heavier and bigger allround, it does'nt look as big in the photo's though, probably because my mate who is holding it is about 6'ft and just short of 20 stone lol..
  16. PIC 1 3/8 BULL/ 5/8 GREYHOUND PIC 2 SECOND GENERATION 1/2 CROSS (12 month old sired by dog in pic 3) PIC 3 HALF CROSS BULL GREYHOUND i have'nt owned or seen a 5/8 bull 3/8 greyhound but i suppose they have there uses  imo rob is right in what he said, theres hundreds of bull crosses about that can't sort the job on there own far more than what can imo
  17. who's taken my f*****g pic down ?, it was taken 4 years ago and most of the older members will know that as its been on here before the f*****g ban. whats the point in telling people its allright to put old preban pics up then taking them down, what next the gallery ?

    is it me

i bet most are'nt involved in any type of hunting either
  19. i can't really comment on this because nearly all the fox dogs i've had have had bull blood in them, allthough i had a bedlington x greyhound years back that was like that but he never really got tested properly
  20. Lucky, do you think that the dog who doesn't mind taking some stick is less inteligent or is it just that the dog likes the battle? Ta Simon i think that type of dog is pretty braindead, they must think it's all normal, because it has'nt ever realised how quickly it could kill it's quarry. i've had a few like this and i also think they enjoy it all aswell, tails wagging, never hesitating, fox after fox etc. if they dont like it all they have to do is come off like so many do this was one of those dogs that would'nt change his hold, but would kill as many as you put in front of hi
  21. i like a dog that will grab anywhere it can in order to catch its quarry, i've seen loads of foxes caught by the tip of the brush even, most dogs soon learn to change hold quick, but sometimes you get the odd one that does'nt bother how it kills its quarry and is'nt bothered about getting a face full either
