i'd definately go for a pup rather than an ex racer,and if you want one for catching bolted rabbits a whippet cross would be a good choice. ex racers are not always steady with stock including ferrets,probably wont retrieve and are prone to injury. atleast with a pup you can train it to hopefully be everything you need.

my mate called round last night and asked me if i was able to take is young dog Gizmo as he knows it will be well looked after. he's just started a new job and he has'nt got half the time he used to have to work his dogs,so he has had to make cut backs unfortunately,but he knows he will still be able to see how the dog progresses and is free to take him out whenever he gets the chance to. Gizmo is by no means a looker (far from it) but he entered well and has shown plenty of potential which i've seen myself on a couple of occations,and looks are the last thing on my mind. he's bred out of

i think the one JD has got is but the ones i use are exactly the same except there's no built in battery. they just come with a coiled lead with the cigarette adaptor on the end

i know how you feel mate i've got three lurchers on at the moment and they all get brayed up after a good night so i am always waiting for them to mend i could do with another three then atleast i'd be gaurenteed to have two nights lamping a week

i've been using them for about three seasons,they use the same bulb as the lightforce aswell. when i'm looking for quarry i use the blitz then when i've spotted something i use the tracer as the extra bit of spread is very handy for land driving,giving me a wider field of view (dogs coming into the beam,getting to close to the car,dykes, ditches etc). i dont know about the battery drain though because i only use them in the car so it's just plugged into the cigarette lighter socket,but i have noticed that they go through bulbs a bit quicker than the lightforce,and you have to take all the sc

this was my favourite patch of cover untill the developers decided to build on it earlier this year. i've had some exellent sport there in the past as it always held fox thats me wading through the bramble,the terriers managed to nail one right in the middle

i think my first air rifle was the ASI Sniper,then the CF 16,which i loved until my dad confiscated it after he caught me shooting it out of the attic window,i never saw it again the HW 25 looks a good beginers gun,the only problem may be lack of power,resulting in wounding rather than killing the desired target,now we all know what to shoot and where to shoot but it is'nt always the case with unsupervised trigger happy kids weve all sneeked out when the old mans at work
