  1. the most i've paid for a terrier is £200 and £200 is also the most i've had to pay for a lurcher, but if i wanted a dog that i no could do the job i would be prepared to pay a bit more if i had to
  2. why would anyone want to run there dog in the summer any way, the ground is baked and far to hard to run on and the heat is far to high to be running a dog in atleast have a bit of respect for your dog even if you dont give a shit about the quarry :realmad:
  3. i never jab any of my dogs, salt and water usually does the trick
  4. i dont think bedlingtons malt at all ? or do they ?

    help

i think you'll be struggleing there mate once dogs hold a grudge against each other its very hard to stop them p.s i think you could of choose a better name for the site
  8. but then are they really mates or just associates ? the people i call mates i can trust 100% so for the sake of a few quid they just would'nt put that friendship on the line
  9. i think its handy to give a couple away to good friends because you never know when you might need to use it, i dont do much digging really but i know enough to know anything can happen so it's always handy to know theres some of your breeding available to use if need be. theres nothing wrong with selling a pup either, how many people do you know would give you a pup free of charge, i bet you could count them on one hand
  10. i used to do a lot of bushing with terriers and lurchers for rabbits a few years back and never had any problems. but if the terrier works below ground then theres the added problem of it dropping into earths  that you did'nt know were there etc
  11. you can tell who's bred for the money just by the asking price, imo the main reason for breeding a litter should be to replace old stock or add to even. i also think the breeder is entitled to a few quid in return for there exspenses time etc £100 - £150 seems fair to me, but if a friend etc wanted a pup they should get it free of charge. the quality and breeding should be far more important than the price imo. you can always tell a lot about a person who breeds a litter and sells the lot, you have to ask yourself why

  13. i'm glad he's having a bit of look for a change, lets hope the dog keeps it up
  14. there not as game as foxhounds, but ten times better in thick cover they have'nt caught one yet though(thats the lurchers job). the lad i got them off as small pack and all he hunts with them is foxes for private gun cyndicates he's cornered a few foxes with them and he told me that they are'nt really efficient fox killers (in and out all the time) but they do kill em. this mating was'nt planned because my 2 bitches are only young (coming up 2 yo) but there flying, to say i only work 2 they dont miss a thing (if theres foxes there they will find them) and i've had some exellent hunts with em
  15. the mother to the pups is on the right
  16. posted for markfox we got asked to move some pests out of some bales on a farm. so in the dog went. after about 30 mins we started to move the bales. after about 30 bailes we got the dog. and we shot that one. put the dog back in the bales and i could see two more. and my mate said he could see another. so we moved some more, as we were getting nearer to them they had no were to go but by this time the dog was f.cked it had been in 4 hours but we were on to them, by the time we had finnisd they were 4 of the f.ckers in. i wood love to put some pics up but you no the score. i'll just put t
