the site i'm on about finnished 2 year back yes i love the summer especially when the stubbles are cut plenty of foxes some of which are cubs even but i'm not on about just foxes but whatever i am on about they all died with 1 dog on them not 2 :11: if i ever get bored of killing the bigger stuff i'll take you up on that offer with the rabbits/hares etc. but if you ever fancy showing me how good a minshaw is on its own with quarry that bite back i'm more than willing to have a few nights out i'll provide the quarry you provide the "dog" but were they doubled up ?

are you reffering to me chartpolski ? because i have'nt seen anything from you at all you really are the "armchair hunter"

it would take me a week to go through the thread again so maybe you could tell me were the foxes taken single handed or doubled up ? and how regular. p.s this site is far from what it was, i get more complaints from members admin etc when i post a few pics of foxes etc it is'nt worth the hassle so i dont post any pics now i could put 20 pics up from the last 2 weeks just getting the dogs warmed up for the coming season. i remember a site a while back (forget what it was called) and it was a private forum if theres ever another site like that i'll have plenty of pics to show the m

In reply lucky, bigger game don't interest me nowadays mate, been there and done it,infact imo just about any dog is capable of having a go at the larger stuff, doesn't even have to be a lurcher. are we talking single handed because i am ? i've noticed that all the minshaw thread pics etc relate to running 2 dogs together on something small such as hares or rabbits even ?, fair enough if you want large bags then thats probably the easiest way to get them, but imo it does'nt make the dogs the best thing since sliced bread does it ? i would like to see the results if the dogs were run on the

i wont be running in the copetition either because to be honest rabbits and hares dont interest me at all nowadays as someone said earlier it's the dedicated owner that makes a dog providing the quarry and land are right because in my oppinion any half right dog can kill rabbits and hares on the lamp in numbers.

Ever felt that you have travelled this way before? What is this thread adding to the original thread now in the archives? it's the same old arguments same questions. All i know is the evidence of the game this strain has killed is contained in countless photographs both on the archive on this site and in the photo album owned by vic minshaw which i have seen and was gobsmacked by. As I have by the photos on ASD s posts. If anybody has evidence that their particular dogs or strain of dogs has killed anything like the amount of game minshaw dogs have killed then put up the evidence. I for one wo

minshaw lurchers as farr as i no were bred by victor minshaw some 40years ago no one apart from vic his self knows whats in there makeup,i myself was introduced to the strain through a very good friend of mine, theyve always been bred by putting minshaw to minshaw i.elurcher to lurcher, and has for saying there isnt many about this reason is simply not everyone who has these dogs goes on the computer, were i live theres plenty knocking about, there capable of running alot of game in one night and they can do this night after night, alot of this stuff has been answered in the thread if you take tim

it's not often i run rabbits nowadays but i took this pic last season after an hours lamping with a second gen half cross. the land i caught these on i class as a very easy spot for rabbits and we have killed well in excess of a hundred rabbits in one night (not with 1 dog though) but the problem is'nt catching them, i'ts carrying them and having somewhere to store them at home. i've seen my mates first cross bull greyhound catch just over 60 in one night on this land but what i'm trying to say is if i were to take the same dogs 2 mile down the road the end result would and has been far less

right over the last couple of months i've heard a lot on here about minshaw lurchers and i've seen a few arguments stem from some of the threads. i've also seen some exellent pics of what must have been very good nights out but what i want to know is what exactly is a minshaw lurcher and what do they really exell at and please dont just say they exell at everything as i know i could probably spew such a wonder dog in less than a week . are they just lurcher x lurher which were started by someone called minshaw or are there certain percentages of different breeds in there make up. i also und

i've seen a few that could kill foxes but they were'nt seeing them regular enough imo to be classed as 100%, imo there's fox killers in every cross but most of the time the amount of regular foxes they get determines the time it's classed as a "fox dog".

he looks a lot lighter in the pics than he is at the moment but to be honest whatever he was i did'nt really have a choice with the season round the corner, i was just lucky to get him
-
when the bitch/dog have proved them selfs season after season and are approaching retirement time would be ideal to replace old stock so to speak
-
i did mate twice infact, the dog was 100% but he had a major fault chewing the dog pens, car interior, kennels etc and i just could'nt stop him.
-
well after making what seemed like a hundred phone calls i managed to find a suitable replacement for Tyke i had to pay a small fortune to get this dog but i got him for a very genuine reason and through no fault whatsoever on the dogs part, he has'nt been passed around at all and is very sensible and well trained, he takes all quarry (with ease from what i seen last night) and he's 100% with livestock all he needs now is plenty of exercise to get the summer fat turned into muscle and i should have a very capable dog to make life a little easier for Beano Billy, 5/8 3/8 bull/greyhound,
-
he was run over about 3 years back but the vests examined and x rayed him and said he was just badly bruised and he got plenty of recovery time, apart from that the only other injury that stopped him working for a while was a broken toe
-
he looks well hairyface, how old is he ?
-
i wanted "Tyke" originally but it was taken so i had had to settle for "Lucky" after another dog i had at the time.
-
i dont know what caused his death as he was looking as good as ever yesterday and he was only 8 y/o, he was booked to go for a check up with the bone man tomorrow morning just to make sure everything was right for the start of the season i just hope Beano is prepared for a very hard season
-
i woke up this morning to find the old dog Tyke dead so now i'm really gonna be struggleing this year with only one lurcher to work which will never be in the same league as the old dog was. i've heard people say you only ever get one really good dog in your life and for me that must have been Tyke, by far the best lurcher i have ever owned, the only thing that really pisses me off is that i never got a pup out of him simply because i never got a bitch good enough to put him over a few pics (all of which were taken well before the ban) of a dog that gave 100% everytime
