  1. The black and tan one catches the eye.
  2. The dog isn't pulling overly hard it's the fact the collar is choking him mixed with the warm weather. I've had a terrier with the same problem before and a harness solved the problem. But all the others in between and the others I have now are fine. Thanks for the input but it's not needed. Back to the original question, does anyone know where I can get a decent harness?
  3. Does anyone know where I can get a good terrier size harness? I've a dog here and, in the winter it's no problem but, during the warmer months he's pulling on the lead that much he's almost choking himself out. I was hoping to get one from Strongstuff but he doesn't do them so any help on alternative options would be appreciated. Cheers.
  4. Fair play. The one I seen was great around a hole and even went to ground on numerous occasions. Also had a great temperament around terriers. But he just couldn't kill a critter though he would try his best.
  5. And by the way I'm not running down the Bull x Whippets. I'm more of a Saluki cross fan. But I'm just commenting on what I've seen.
  6. what do you mean weight of a bull grey?I mean a Bull/grey is bigger and heavier and gets the job done quicker.
  7. It's a dog for a job IMO. They're good 'foxing' terriermens lurchers and also good rabbit dogs. Anything heavier and they struggle but they are what they are. Can't fault their drive but they just lack the weight to do what a Bull/Grey would do.
  8. Smart dogs them. Are they first crosses?
  9. A sore lump on your eyelid.
  10. Fully agree Neil. Every man has their breaking point and when it's put on them like that who can blame them for getting out?
  11. Maybe it'll skip a generation and a grandson will step into your boots bud.
  12. Maybe so, but the names of the lads I was told had jacked were certainly well thought of dog men that had been at the job for years.
  13. I think it's either in your genes or it isn't and it can't be forced onto someone. I know good dog men who's sons just aren't interested in the dogs. And then on the flip side good dog men who are the first in their family to be into the dogs. I've been mad keen into the dogs since a young age yet both my parents have nothing to do with them. However my Grandad used to do terrierwork with the local hunt and did plenty of hare coursing in his younger years so it must have skipped a generation to me?
  14. Glad to hear he's gone. I heard he was the cause of a lot of decent lads packing the terrier game in.
  15. Kennels to be proud of them. Proper job mate.
  16. Ignore the f***ing idiots. Always enjoy your posts and pics on here.
  17. Sounds like the best option.:-D
  18. Bryan I agree it's a bit too far with his picture and where he lives etc BUT he ruins most threads with his ramblings and most of what he writes just reads as total nonsense and he gives plenty of lads on here grief so if he can give it he can take it IMO. And Pablo you may be sound in person but you don't give that impression with some of the things you write on here.
  19. Are they all compatible with the Bellman collar?
  20. Maybe got in while you were out with the dogs? It's nice to hear of them about. When I was younger I lived nexto a golf course and every night when I took the dogs out on it they would find a hedgehog without fail. Not seen one for maybe 5 years or more.
  21. I went to the Midlands a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. I'll be going this year aswell hopefully.
  22. I always preferred Gunnerside during the day, just let the dogs loose and it was a case of catch, catch, catch. Great fun and aslong as the dogs were stock broken you were fine. Beware of them keepers though they could get a bit irate on occasion.?
