    Waxed shredded paper is the best stuff, stays dry and fluffier for longer. Straw is great and the dogs love it but it harbours parasites.

    I find 6 foot fine, the 8 footers are handy for big entrances but they tangle too easily for me.

    I've seen that pic in the old Year Books Glyn. Real nice strong types, exactly how the 'Old Nuttall's' look. But what do you think went wrong with them? I think the last pic I seen of one of Brian's dogs that looked of that type was maybe Miner. The dogs I've personally seen of his over the last 10 years or so are a world away from the likes of Penny, Punch, Miner etc. They're not just lacking size, but look totally unlike the early dogs.

    I'd personally say deer are to blame as much as badgers.

    There's a big difference between being alcohol dependant and enjoying the odd beer. John fair play you are dry after being alcohol dependant. But it sounds like you're still very much obsessed with the stuff just by your massive input on this thread.

    Come on boys, it's been out weeks! It's worth getting for the old pics and pedigrees. But it's typical Sean Frain, his lack of practical knowledge is obvious and the writing style makes it real difficult to sit and have a good read.

    They weren't so active tonight so struggled for pics. But managed to see other wildlife while I waited.

    Got be lager for me. Cider's too sweet and can't handle spirits. Stella and Bud give me a terrible headache the next day so Fosters is the only one for the job.

    Plenty of chicken carcasses outside the earth Neil, with such a good steady supply I can imagine it's made it a bit easier for her. Ps . Only 3 cubs this time too.

    Difference being, in them days before internet etc, it didn't reach as many people and so not cause as much damage.

    It's a vicious circle, what is the answer? Distance ourselves from the idiots? But then what about the idiots that don't realise that they are exactly that? Just do what you we normally do, keep it tight, heads down and carry on.
