  1. Fair reply, good luck with him and his pups...
  2. Looks a lot of bull in the mother Brog. Out of curiousity what made you use the father as a stud being only young?
  3. Go on bulldog.com, they sell round mouths for under £20, all they need is footplates welding on, which is easy enough if you know anyone that does welding...
  4. Good going Brog, I had my 19th and 20th charlies for the season yesterday with the little dogs. Was talking to the owner of Jazz the other day (the mother of your dog), I said your dog's going well for you which he was pleased to hear...
  5. They'll get used to it the more they are on them, let them walk together on the couples without the lead on to start with, it works for me usually.
  6. Deemac there's a company called Altberg's over near us, a mate of mine got a pair of digging boots off them recently and I'm sure he said they re-sole and repair boots. Could be wrong but it's worth a look mate, it's alt-berg.com i think?
  7. That's a good sign mate. This pup out of Jim will go when I eventually let him, turns 10 month old tommorow, had him out today and he was marking earths well, fingers crossed...
  8. 250 out of the 1000? Or 250 aswell as the 1000?
  9. I agree it's a top class book, but what's that about you can get them un'signed and with no box?? I assumed there was a limited edition of 1000 done, all with boxes and signed and that's it?
  10. I got caught doing 61 in a 50 on the M1 and got £60 fine and 3 points, I could have attended a driving course and that would have been that, but it meant driving all the way down to Nottingham as that's where the 'crime' took place. ps They are c**ts.
  11. I agree with that in a way CS, but I think that you can get decent young lads that have a good idea about terriers and digging in general, aswell as older fellas that have had terriers for a few years but are still f****n clueless...
  12. The heavier the 'o-rings' on either end the better they purse I've found, I find that 6 ft nets are big enough for most earths but I've a few 8 footers for the bigger holes...
  13. I like them boxes Brog, where they from mate?
  14. Didn't know Mullet had gone also Buster? f****n shitter that mate...
  15. It's my mate who i dig with through here mate, he is f****n mad, he's been bit 3 times this season already but it just doesn't put him off a bit. The conversation when that pic was took went something like ''quick, quick I've got it, put the f*****g camera down''
  16. Butler no needs to f**k about with a stick, ya just gotta get in and heave them out...
  17. Nice pups woods, very similar stamp to a young bitch I have here, are they out of one of yours Buster?
  18. I'm yet to be bitten on the digits (touch wood) but have been bitten on the leg when I've had one tailed and it wasn't pleasant...
  19. From what I've been advised on by the older lads that have been there and done it, it's best to hold them back till they're physically and mentally strong enough which I think is about 15 months onwards. I've got a ten month old pup here, he's a big strong lump and I've had him out with us digging for about the last 6 weeks, he's seen foxes in nets, he's seen them run off and he's seen basically everything that happens on a dig so when it comes to his turn he'll stand in good stead with nothing being new to him when he's out. The last couple of times out he's marked earths and I couldn't pull
  20. It's not an Irish thing letting game go, IMO it's a sign of a good terrierman, if the fox needs to die because it's killing lambs, chickens etc. then fair enough it hasto be treated as a pest. But if you're out with your terriers for a dig or two and the foxes in that area aren't causing a problem then what's the point in killing them? A terrierman goes out and digs to the dogs for the sport of working the dog not for the killing of the fox. If i never killed another fox again it wouldn't bother me in the slightest. On the draw dog side it's not my cup of tea but that's just my opinion.
  21. Mines 63, when i first went for a dig with him i called him (to the bride) old Neil, he was 43 at the time, i'm now 43 lol, it soon comes around mate, best of luck with the search. I'm the same mate, when we come to yours it's ''oh we're going down to old buster's for the day'' lmao
