    Started the clear out got rid of a couple of ferrets over the holidays and one of the bedlington terriers decided he would chew the latch off one of the Crees and kill one of the old Jill's so that was another one gone.

    Was out with dogs other day was sitting while they had a run about was watching 2 crows carrying twigs and making there nest.

    There's some sand dunes near me and they are just one big warren but there's one spot seen about 5 sitting out many a time don't no how they survive they stand out like a sore thumb.

    I've got a shared perm and the other 2 lads are on it every day/night with the bullet guns so you are lucky to get 1 rabbit.ive left them to it as ya just pissing against the wind when it's like that. That's how a lost one of my perms I had had for a good while farmer let someone else on and said we could share it kid he let on was a complete axse just turning up with mates in tow blasting anything they could find not shutting gates couldent be bothered to walk so just drove about wrecking fields farmer hoyed him off then told me he had had enough and was letting no one on tried explaining it

    Just been in touch with a lad a have a few outings with it seems it's catching been trying for ages to find some new permission but had no success so has got rid off his ferrets and chucked it.

    Am in north east still plenty of enthusiasm to get out when a can but farmers etc just don't seem to trust any body these days and who can blame them in a way when you see some of the idiots that are about and the theiving that goes on. A have a lad who goes out with me and he is the same full on and like you say gets you going on them days when your not fully motivated lol.

    One sold up and a tree hugger bought it says they deplore hunting of any type other decided to let another lad on as well as me and he left gates open just turned up with mates in tow basically just made a complete axxe of him self farmer chucked him off and tarred me with the same brush saying he was letting no one on his land.

    Well after 30 odd years of ferreting think it's time to pack in after losing 2 good permissions and nowt or very few on any of the others and traveling and knocking on doors for months to no avail sending emails and everything else a can think of seems like getting any new perm is not happening to long in the tooth for the no perm option can't run as fast as could probably will just keep the owld stinkers and let them finish there days here in retirement at least wor lass will be happy she's always morning about the nets drying etc.

    I use a falconry vest more pockets than I need holds plenty of nets and big game pocket in back for a few rabbits
