Just had 2 quotes off different vets £65 each and £70 each I'm like you have kept Jill's and left them in season and well looked after and never lost a one have had a snipped hob now for a few years and never had a problem except a few years ago had a hob done first year brought all Jill's out no bother so next year put him in with 3 Jill's and ended up with 21 Kitts apparently his tubes had reconnected so vet done another hobb for 30 quid.

Just had 3 done..£40 each... not cheap but well worth it..all 3 are in the same hutch now and no problems with them bumming and beating each other up all summer..next season will be the test to see if its affected their working ability/drive.. they were all tested last season and worked very well..so its fingers crossed for the season ahead Thanks vin usually just work Jill's but lost my best 2 this year got a Jill here with 5 Kitts 4 Hobbs 1 Jill was thinking about keeping a hob back and getting him done.

  7. answered your own question there because there arseholes and nowt but scum had all mine knicked a good few years back never got any back but found out who it was and sent him on a trip to A and E..
  8. Got a 23 year old 90 and I love it once you get used to all the rattles etc.

Just had a quick look when I fed her she had 6 but 1 was dead there was a few lads wanting Kitts off her so there is going to be a few disappointed as I want 2 Jill's and my mate who the hob belongs to wants 2 hobs pity there is no offspring from the albino that the dog got but the lad I got her off had her spayed so hopefully there is 2of each so we get what we want .
  10. After losing my 2 best ferrets one to old age and one to the bloody bedlington terrier my young Jill had her Kitts last night the father is the son of the old one so hopefully he has passed some of her genes on as she was a cracker time will tell.
  11. Just ordered another 50 yarder of him and he says he is very busy and yes his nets are first class at a good price wouldn't go any were else.

  14. As said quick sets are idiot proof got all mine from nelson his nets and baskets are first class I'm just about to order another 50 yarder me self.
  15. I know exactly how you feel roll on the winter and back out ferreting and grafting the dogs.
  16. Go to North Yorkshire with a lad ferret it shoot them and lamp them it never seems to make a difference the place is crawling had some permission at bedale that was the same.

Ye lost both of my best this year I took a lad out last season after netting a full hedge row with the long nets I said to him just open the box out she wandered over to the hedge down first hole and systematically worked her way up the hedge he said are you not going to go and get her a said no she will come back when she has cleared it then out she popped wandered back got in her box curled up for a kip he turned around and said I have herd you talk about it but never believed it till AV seen it with me own eyes

  19. Ye got her son and he has just lined a little a silver Jill so hopefully will get a litter of her ye she was a good age and a great grafter she would work a full hedge row by her self and when she had cleared it wander back to her box she followed me like a dog will be a big miss next season.
  20. Well the old girl has went to the big warren in the sky she was a good 9 years old and still liked a couple of hours out right up till the end of last season had to be the best grafter I have ever had and she was tiny happy hunting old girl. Rip.

  22. If I had been closer I would have sorted this out for you mate bit of a hike for me from the north east sure some of the lads up that way can sort it only thing is it's not ferreting season but can still be done might just mean a bit digging good luck finding someone.
