  1. ive seen that merle spaniel 'franko' whored right cross facebook if thats the sire your mates going to see the pups from. Id stay away personally, nothing but a showboat and never seen a days work imo
  2. New account, first post. 'Mcvey' deleted. Welcome back... Greb ??
  3. ?? That would be good. See how he turns out he’s started well.
  4. Hi mate. 24 inch tts. He’s from a long line of beddy whip grey lurchers I think some saluki in there too. Bit embarrassing maybe but when I bought him as a pup I didn’t ask too many questions about exact breeding. I knew he was from workers and that’s all I was bothered about. He works well and I like him ??
  5. I’ve made a start on stripping mine tonight using an old hacksaw blade . He’s been over heating. Still some to come off will have another go next week. before and after
  6. Bloke on Facebook makes them £165 delivered so that should give you an idea. Got to be worth over £100.
  7. Yeah probably right, although he says it’s out the way, never know.
  8. im personally no help to you but i enjoyed reading and seeing this. Good luck, hope the dog comes good. Only thing i can say is id stick with my dog for rest of his life even if he was a jacker but i understand thats no use to some people. All the best.
  9. if youre on Facebook search The Bedlington lurcher group, there is a lad called Tom who bred this exactly and kept back a pup looks similar to mine (i dont know the exact breeding of mine) ... Dont want to share the pic without his permission but he puts plenty of pics on there. Looks a cracking big capable dog but still young and fairly untested i think.
  10. Cheers been thinking of getting a proper camera instead just using my phone ??
  11. cracking photo, what do you use to take photos?
  12. 22 quid a month on pet plan for mine and 85quid deposit so its cheap really and its been sorted no questions asked so cant complain. I still felt charging over 600quid that is just greed on vet behalf. Heard of people quoted thousands for procedures and having to tell the vets put the animal down then as we cant afford it only for the vet to say hold on lets see what we can do and then cut the bill down to a 3rd the original cost! But they are a business i suppose and profit matters...
  13. theres a young lad on one of the facebook groups with a deer/grey x mali and it looks a cracking dog dont know if its doing the business as its only a year old if i remember right.
  14. Sorted now thanks. Stitches coming out Monday lunch time imagine might be another day or 2 before I can let him off the lead but i don’t know. We’re fed up of 15 minute road walks twice a day now can’t wait to lose the leads.
  15. Thank you appreciate that! Tomorrow will be a year since I picked him up 8 weeks old. Loving it.
  16. I wanted to take this advice and let it heal but i just wasnt sure so went to the vet, i remember my old man used to stitch them and sort them himself but with him passing away i dont have that guidance and it was a first accident for me. id already been to the vets before i put this post up so it was already in motion. I'm that little bit wiser now for next time. Vets are always keen not to let the dog lick the wounds do you think different? i also thought to let them lick it was good... Cheers.
  17. @Moocher71 healing well mate thanks! 5 days since he had the stitches.
  18. wish id of come on here sooner. Hes all booked in and paid for for the morning now so i'm gonna just let it be with the vet but your advice in exactly what i needed and i appreciate it thanks.
  19. my instinct said i could leave it, keep it clean and lead walk him while it heals i just didnt know better for sure, hes booked in for weds and insurance has covered it, but this is a lesson learnt thank you Fens ?
  20. Did it late Friday night. It’s started to heal well I’ve cleaned it up throughout the days and I was intending on just letting it heal however it was the flap of skin not taking back down that bothered me so went in to see vets opinion last night. Perhaps I was best going straight away. hes insured so will cost me £85 excess but I don’t like even giving them that
