You reminded me , I was lifting a furnace crucible out stood on top using a big pair of blacksmith tongs , two of us , probably should've been three. 321 lift , my side crumbled tongs came up and smacked me in the gob. Went to emergency dentist he literally drew a straight line along my front teeth and trimmed them to remove the chips, my father took the Mickey saying I had Hollywood teeth. I also had a rotten wisdom pulled that cut my cheek about, whisky and pain killers for a couple of weeks then quick trip to dentist and he pulled it without even telling me , thought he was gonna pull

Neighbour over road lost her fence but council will put it right I presume, so far I've been lucky with my dodgy panels, taken kids to play football twice today bloody car was rocking about they loved it. Gonna be a lot of trees down seen three or four roads are blocked on FB local.

My mate was carrying a pipe with another guy in work flange each end , so he's in front guy behind walked his end into a steel beam , my mate face planted into the flange his end and knocked his gold tooth out snapped whatever attached it and has spent about 4k getting it sorted and replaced. I'm lucky at 47 never had a filling.

I don't mind a bowl of really thick soup with some decent bread and butter . I don't enjoy a broth or watery soup. I could drink one out of a flask on a cold day maybe oxtail or something....

I'm sure there's better value ones but some of the Englebert Strauss gear is quality. I've also been supplied with different brands, port west is cheap as chips. I'll be trying helly Hansen stuff next as Englebert is too dear for the waterproof stuff.

I never knew how they made it , brisket isn't the cheap cut it once was , I wonder if the BBQ smoker trends have had an impact on the corned beef market. Or is it just costs in general along with a decline in sales....spam prices are mad , I have to hide a couple for fishing otherwise the kids are asking for it. Lol salt and fat can't beat it.

Colleague today has a small holding full of rescue animals 20 plus cats , said if he sees a rat they don't get fed for a night ,not a mouse not rats survives on the place....said he's trained them lol
