I think we've more in common with Ukrainian people than french and German tbh , but I also feel a huge discord towards fellow Brits , there's elements of England Wales Scotland and northern Ireland that feel alien to me , a large number of cities feel alien within the UK , I think the polish invasion although it destroyed wages and conditions it also added an element to our society , bring on shared values and knuckle down on burkas and female circumcisions etc. I don't want to sound like an extremist, as I'm not but I'd like to reign in immigration and have something closer to our own values

Went to butchers bought bacon and sausage, he asked "no steaks?" I made my excuses and left feeling ashamed lol. I got a woolly hat on, been at it all winter, but need to reign in meat spending, ready for better weather ?

Because he's not invaded a NATO country. America has final say as they have the military capability to confront Russia , they have asked European countries to increase their defence spending decade after decade and they've all fallen well below par. This situation might address it , hopefully the horse doesn't bolt.

I had no idea tbh, but easy to state it after the fact. What about thousands of state agents and that aspect of their security . All the cyber capabilities... Hacking worldwide...nuclear operational teams? Still seems incredible they have been so shortsighted when it comes to professional army...too busy filling coffers?

That's the thing it's a few individuals making these decisions and common people will suffer for it as with all wars, I remember my father saying the media reported the sinking of an Argentine vessel with 900 lads on it with great glee, but it's someone's sons at the end of it. A lot of the Russians look young and unaware of their situation, that I've seen on media.. it's a bad do for all involved, hopefully there is a de escalation of the current situation....

Some of these oligarchs could have all yachts houses football clubs taken away it wouldn't matter a jot they've billions , a few Ukrainian too all made from the USSR collapse, I'm all for a bit of leveling up when it's at that level. There talk any funds seized will go to the russian people once there is a regime change the west can work with....

I guess one question is where does it come from, was it his ego his relationship with jinping , 22 years in power allowed away with so much , hacking everyone , chemical bombing Syrians with no comebacks , killing UK civilians on UK soil , no drama. Growing up in East Germany , KGB operator.... Or was he scared NATO was going to invade Russia ......
