  1. I was over in San Antonio, TX,a few years back and was hoping to meet your old mate Dutch, but he had moved on to NM by then, he seemed like a top bloke with the Stags and Salukis ! Cheers.
  2. Whin, get yourself down there, a man could hunt, shoot, fish...to his hearts content, and if you get the right lads, there is no legal problems ! Cheers.
  3. The Deerhound/Greyhound X has ALLWAYS caught the Judges eye at Lurcher Shows; but there does seem to be a bit of a revival in working them going on ! I've got a 1st x bitch, 18 month old and is doing everything expected of her ; Cheers.
  4. Whin, I've been down Oz, and NZ, plenty times, and hunted with some top lads.... but asking them if their dogs take ilegal quarry is a bit daft. Cheers,
  5. The guy's have told you it's ILEGAL all over Australia !! Why would they want to compromise themselves on here ??? Cheers.
  6. If the parents were "Non-Ped" Whippets, the pups could have varied wildly in wheight ! I see some litter mates every week and they vary from 18lb to over 50lb !! Cheers.
  7. How about being a "donator" and putting them up in the "for sale" forum ? Cheers.
  8. Whin; can't you get a mate or someone to write your posts !!! They probably mean something.... if only we could decipher them ! Cheers.
  9. I take it you mean "bore" shoots !! As I wouldn't be wanting to take a beddy/whippet on a "BOAR" shoot ! LOL ! Cheers.
  10. Then we will be seeing it on the TV News and in the Newspapers ? Cheers.
  11. I hope the other bloke IS on here; be interesting to hear HIS side of the story. Cheers.
  12. The lad in the pic, Terry, I remember taking him and his brother to race Robbo, (Bilko x Frozen Kill), against a greyhound, in an old Viva van back in the early '70s ! It was at Stanley Greyhound track , level break over 270 yards; Robbo led to the 1st bend, then the Greyhound took over and won easy ! That's when I realised that the old saying "a bad Greyhound will allways beat a good Whippet" was true !! LOL !! Great days.....I'm having flashbacks !! Cheers.
  13. Allright mate; you obviously tried to post a pic of your and your mates dogs, but it didn't happen ! Don't worry about being ribbed on here, it happens to everyone, and bears no relation to real life !! Cheers.
  14. Here's Flynn, (sire to my bitch Delta). He's a 1st cross Beddy/Grey from Heartbreak Fell Kennels. I'm sure his owner, Pat, Won't mind me showing him, as I think he's a top class dog, who has thrown top class pups !! Cheers.
  15. Now that head looks familiar Doesn't it !! I was at Birr Game Fair last year with this pup, (a 1st cross), and a guy came up to me and said "that's a Doxhope bred bitch!", I asked him how he knew that, and he said "look at the head !" !! Cheers.
  16. ye sorry geryhound Normaly make crackin' dogs ! Cheers.
  17. What do you mean "Whippet x Hound" ? Is it Whippetx Greyhound, (Grew), or Whippet x some other type of hound ? Cheers.
  18. Just look at footballers mate; it's one of the worst injuries they can get ! They are sent to the best surgeons and no expense spared, but some of them never make it back to their best. I'm not trying to put a downer on your situation, just telling it like it is.... Hope the dog isn't as seriously injured as it seems, and makes a full recovery, some do !! Cheers.
  19. Good As Gold's "pedigree" ! Note the Greyhound Sire to the Whippet Dam in the line... http://www.k9community.co.uk/cgi-bin/nonped/geneal.pl?op=tree&index=50&gens=5&db=nonped.dbw Cheers.
  20. Good As Gold was probably the greatest yds/lb DOG ever !! Bitches usualy won the run of for Supreme Champion, but I'm sure he won a few !! And once again, he had the best of the Whippets, Bilko, on his sires side and Greyhound on his dams side ! Another Grew that was tremendous ! Cheers.
  21. Bob, I had a pup out "Flossey", (Rch Yorkie Boy X Greyhound) By Rch Haymaker; looked like she would make the grade at yds per lb, but I had to go away , and she went to a handicap racer. She won a lot, but didn't live up to her potential. Her mother, Flossey, was one of the best 30/32 lb'ers I ever seen, but she allways came up against Rch Devils Angel, Which was of course one of the best 32lb'ers ever !! Another Yorkie Boy X Greyhound !! Cheers.
  22. Stunning dogs, had one in the 70's, but things move on and the Bull and saluki x proved superior in the field at there respective jobs So would you say that Bull and Saluki X's prooved superior to Deerhound X's at Roe, especialy daytime...... Pre Ban, of course ! Cheers.
