  1. Six weeks old; Five years old; Cheers.
  2. Of course Bruce is not the best out there ! But he's a VERY good "allrounder", who's taken game consistently, day and night. LDR has NEVER bulled him up, in fact, quite the opposite ! But when a guy derided him as a "donkey", and "to big to catch rabbits", then got shown up in the final....... Enough said ! Cheers.
  3. Mo; she's first x Deerhound, (Doxhope Knights Errant), Greyhound, (Rivington Ena). Cheers.
  4. I like this pic of her when she was a pup; Cheers.
  5. Why on earth should the final be run again ??? It was run on Tomo's land and all parties left happy, with no complaints, even though there was a lack of rabbits. Cheers.
  6. Pleased to hear that, mate !!! If he's anything like his sister, your heart will be in your mouth everytime he runs, as she does everything at full speed !!!! Cheers.
  7. Tom; why reply, or even talk to these imbeciles ? They haven't a clue ! They are such cowards they won't say who they realy are !! If they have a complaint, why not face up and say who they are ???? f*****g arseholes !! Cheers.
  8. As Pantsdropper says; if you get a 1st x, you have a good idea of what you are going to get regarding looks, size, coat, etc, pluss the Hybrid Vigour. Some people swear by Lurcher to Lurcher, as long as both sides are from good working stock, you can't go far wrong ! I've got one of each and had both types in the past, and you get good and bad from each; so make your choice and take your chance !! LOL !! Cheers.
  9. What "breed" are you on about ? Typp has bred Collie x's, GSD x's, even Poodle x's ! Cheers.
  10. That's a cracking looking Whippet, and a good size. Is it "KC" or "Non-Ped" ? Cheers.
  11. no my dog popped it out and back in at the same time he was round the corner it was the damage caused by this that caused his limp but i couldnt identify were it was until the bone man felt him and realised what had happened!! cheers Hope he makes a full recovery ! Cheers.
  12. Am I reading this correctly......... the dog had a DISLOCATED HIP for a FEW WEEKS, then it was just "popped" back in ??? Cheers.
  13. As I understand it; the IRISH WOLFHOUND had died out, and the Scottish Deerhound, Great Dane, Borzoi, and other breeds were used to recreate the IRISH WOLFHOUND. Scottish Deerhound stock went dangerously low when the Sporting Gun was invented, but some strains were kept by die hard breeders and made a comeback in the late 19th century. It's possible other breeds may have been added, but they certainly WERN'T a "re-created" breed like the Wolfhound ! It's common knowledge that lines such as Ardkinglass had English Greyhound introduced every five generations os so, to keep the speed up. As f
  14. Newcastle dog warden will come to your house and chip your dogs for free. First time they find your dog they will return it to you; second time, you have to collect it from the pound; third time, you have to collect it AND pay. can't get any fairer than that ! Cheers.
  15. Lima's recall went to sh1t once I started working her, so it was just a case of starting again and percivering ! They're still young, so don't worry; he'll get there !!! Cheers.
  16. £1200 for a Dane x Wolfhound pup on "Horse & Hound" !!!!!! Might be ok in Oz, for hunting pigs !! But, then again, the Danes and Wolfhounds they breed down there will be far superior to the crap that's bred here !! Cheers.
  17. I remember when Parvo first reared it's ugly head around here; early 's it was... I had a collie x, a saluki x and a deer x in the kennel. Only the deer cross caught it, possibly 'cause she was only a few month old. The vet tried for three days to save her, to no avail. I scrubbed the kennels out with Jeye's Fluid and burnt all the bedding, the other dogs were ok. I thought this horrible disease had all but been erradicated now ? Cheers.
  18. its not about doing both, i personally dont like running hares on the lamp and bawless dont like running fens in the day and if he did he soon get fed up running dogs with no saluki, horses for courses as they say The only reason I don't run the fens is the distance away they are... If I stayed close to them I wouldn't have a problem running them during the day so don't assume you know what I like doing. I don't like lamping hares either, waste of a good hare if you ask me. Your right about the saluki, I probably would get fed up running the fens without one but here is the crux of
  19. I first saw Scotsmans Alaunt a few years ago, at, I think it was, Bedlington. A stunning dog ! Seen him a few times since, and also one or two pups from him, very nice dogs ! I'm sure he won't mind me putting up this pic I took of Zeus; Cheers.
  20. x38; I'm intrigued by your signature ! Please tell us more about "Blackwater/Norfolk/Tumblers ! Genuinely interested ! Cheers.
  21. Show me what word I "misspelled" as far as you are concerned? None. You ASSUME I spell it color and not colour ... So you are saying that you are out running pregnant and young quarry on hard ground or when it is in the 90's? It's the 2010's now, the '90s are so passe ! Cheers.
  22. f**k me Pantsdropper, me AND the Missus laughed out loud at that reply !! LOL !!! Cheers.
