Refusing a gift in some societies can be highly offensive. If they insist, accept, buy something you WANT, not NEED, send them a thank you and move on.? Cheers.

I hope that the vaccine, lockdowns, etc, prove so effective that no "passports" or restriction will be necessary, but it's allways worth while considering worst case scenarios, or even acting as Devils advocate at times. in the short term, it not beyond the realms of possibility that the government, while claiming not to be introducing " corvid passports", may ease the restrictions on hospitality and sports venues if patrons can show proof of vaccine and/or negative test. Cheers.

I agree, mate. The "holy grail" of non-ped breeding is to get the size of a whippet, and the speed of a greyhound. And some have got damn close. I remember back in the 60's and 70's when first crosses were really popular, the small ones down south were kept for the yards for pound racing, and the big 'uns were sent up here where yards for pound wasn't that popular and we were more into time handicapping and scratch racing. Cheers.

I don't know how tall it is TOMO, but I can guarantee it races at 12lb. The BWRA are very strict when weighing in the dogs. I may be wrong, I haven't raced for years, but I think you're allowed 1/4lb either way. Cheers.

Long term, yes. Short to medium term, no. Just my opinion, though. Cheers.

I agree with your sentiment, but I don't agree they will be able to carry on as normal. Right or wrong, like it or hate it, some sort of Covid passport restrictions will be coming in. Maybe not implemented by our government, but on a local level, individual pubs, shops, sports venues, etc, will demand proof of vaccination. On an international level, airlines, holiday companies, foreign countries, etc will also demand them. When the anti-vaxxers mates are going to the pub for a few pints, before going through the turnstiles to watch the match, and they are sat at home with a

It's been ok up here the last couple of day, it's got me looking through the seed catalogues ! I'll hold fire on planting anthying just yet, that frost has a habit of coming back ! Cheers.

If you think of "runt" as being considerably smaller than the rest of the litter, then you could be right, but if you consider a "runt" to be weak and not fully formed, then you'd be wrong in this case. It's wearing the red collar in this pic, signifying it's the scratch dog in the race. I watched it give start to ped whippets, literally twice its size, and beat them. I had my hands on the dog, and yes it's small, but nothing "runty" about it. A one off, a freak of nature ? Cheers.

Just watched a good game; Bingham beat Trump 6-5 in the first round of the Players Championship. Cheers.

Or drunks that like singing and fighting ? ? Cheers.

Was it him that inspired the Proclaimers song; Cheers.

As a wise old sage once said to me; " One stroke doesn't paint the whole picture ".........?? But I do hope the lad goes on to more success. Cheers.

He seemed shell shocked in the interviews afterwards ! He sounded like a nice, easy going guy.......perhaps he needs to toughen up a bit if he's to make his move. Cheers.
-
He was number 81 in the world before this. I don't know what he is now, but it guarantees him entry into the invitationals, Starting with The Champion of Champions tomorrow, with a guaranteed £10,000 appearance money, win or lose. Good luck to him, he's been around a wile, let's hope this kick-starts his career. Cheers.

My family tartan and crest; Cheers.

Don't know, mate, could be, but it's manufactured in Scotland. Im not likely to commission a pair of trews, anyway ! Cheers.

Lord Panthera of Parkston has a nice ring to it ! LOL ! Cheers.

My line comes from Viking, through Norman to Ireland then England. No scots as far as I can find, yet we have an official tartan ! We also have a crest, which is quite nice, containing three owls. Nothing posh or fancy, most surnames can be traced way back. Tracing your actual family is a lot harder. Cheers.

Nice one mate ! Enjoyed the game, I thought once O'Sullivan got level, he would win, but Brown held his nerve even when he went behind. £70,000 in his pocket, but it also opens the door to the invitationals. Cheers.
-
Still a way to go, but this is why O'Sullivan is the best ever. 4-1 down, then he starts stroking the ball like only he can and suddenly it's 6-5 ! As I say, not over yet and Brown has played well, but his confidence must have taken a knock. Cheers.
