Well, I didn't expect that in the first session ! Brown hasn't been overawed, and has punished O'Sullivans mistakes ! A long way to go, and Ronnie has to buck up his ideas ! Cheers.
-
Same here ! I'm not sure what to expect, except an O'Sullivan win. He may just cruise through it and do enough to win. He may try to motivate himself against a far inferior player, no offence meant to Brown, I know he would give me a hiding if I ever got to play him ! If O'Sullivan goes for it, who knows, maybe a 147 ? Anyhow, I'll enjoy it ! Cheers.

Yeah, Ronnie is different class and he's hitting form in the run up to the World Champs. I think he's set his mind on beating Hendry's records, and times running out. I'm nagging the missus to hurry up, she wants to go shopping, and I've told her, no matter what, I want to be sitting in my recliner, with a glass of wine in my hand, in front of the 65" telly by one o'clock, and not be disturbed, except when she brings me food, for the rest of the day ! ? ! Cheers.

Very easy for O'Sullivan, 6-1, easier than I expected. Cheers.

I'm not sure. There's , in my mind, definitely more very good players in the top 100, than before, but I don't think the gap has closed on the "elite" players. Kyren Wilson and Jack Lisowski seem to be the standouts amongst the "other" players, but aren't consistent enough to be classed as "elite" players. A few of the Chinese guys could make the step up, if they can get over their, to me, inferiority complex when playing the likes of O'Sullivan. The top players aren't getting any younger, so we could do with some youngsters coming through, hopefully with the flair and entertain

Last time I spoke to HBG was some years ago, and I'm sure he had problems with an old rugby injury and was scaling back with the dogs. Cheers.

I'm just guessing, mate, as I can't recall seeing him in any of the top 32 or top 64 invitationals, but then again I tend only to watch the games featuring the best players. Cheers.
-
I've heard of him, but never seen him play. I thinks he's probably at the lower end of the top 100. I missed today's game, I was making sure I had everything done before O'Sullivans game tonight. I think that this will be Browns first major final, and good luck to him. Theres some very good players in the top 100, but the top 3,4,5, are out on their own. Cheers.

That's a good question, Tomo. My daughter in law is scrupulously clean with our five year old grandson, washing his hands every five minutes. When he's here, I have him down to the allotments, eating tomatoes straight from the vine, eating blackberries, raspberries, etc. He climbs in the hen and duck houses to collect the eggs, digs in the soil, plays with the dogs I know she's not that pleased when I bring him home scruffy, he's straight in the shower and his clothes straight in the wash, but she accepts that he's getting an education he otherwise wouldn't. I think b

For christs sake don't mention "disrupting DNA" ; it'll have the resident conspiracy theorists lunging for their tin foil hats ! ? ! Seriously, though, well done , and good luck going forward ! ? ! Cheers.

If this was the UK the first thing the police would have done is arrest the old lad, impounded his guns and revoked his sgc. Well done to the old fella ! Cheers.

I remember back in the early 80's in Saudi Arabia they were selling Lada Nivas 4x4 brand new for the equivalent of about £1,000 I wanted a cheap, robust 4x4 for going in the dessert with the Salukis so thought about buying one. When I mentioned it to my pals they recoiled in horror, you would think I'd just told them I had a virulent, highly contagious dose of pox ! They made it clear I wouldn't be going out with them, no one wanted to be asked to tow it home ! I bought a second hand Range Rover instead........ Cheers.

I know Skoda are now a different motor to what they were. But to people of a certain vintage, the mere mention of "Skoda" has them howling with laughter and dreadging up old jokes about skips ! Cheers.

HAARP Alaska......... One for the conspiracy theorists. Cheers.

Tinned tattles, one minute in the deep fat fryer, excellent ! About 25p a tin at Aldi. Not gourmet, but a bit of Maggi seasoning and almost as nice as home made chips ! Cheers.

I remember many years ago, my brother and I used to go to Wallsend Rising Sun Whippets on a Sunday morning, then afterwards go to the Rocket bar in Longbenton. We had to pass our mums house on the way and would call in, she wouldn't let us leave until we had bread dipped in the Sunday joint juices, as "it would put a lining on our stomachs" for the drink ! ? ! Bless her ! Cheers.

I remember your classic cooking posts, Tomo; "Gas Mark 4, 30 minutes", Whats happened ? Your missus banned you from the kitchen ? Get some recipes up mate ! ? ! Cheers.
-
We used to stand around waiting for mum to take the beef joint out the oven, crust in hand ! Cheers.

Beef dripping or pork lard on bread, with salt and pepper ! A staple food of my youth. We were ok though, cholesterol hadn't been invented back then ? Cheers.
-
Same here ! I fancied classic pork sandwich, the kind you used to be able to buy at the pork butchers, (remember them ?). Roasted a 2.5 kilo loin of pork, rubbed the rind with olive oil and sea salt. Dipped the stottie cake, ( that's a BIG bread bun to you southerners ?), in the meat juices. Sage & Onion stuffing, pease pudding and the creme' de la creme', Colmans English Mustard ! Must be served hot, of course ! A sandwich fit for kings ! I was looking forward to it so much, taking pics didn't enter my mind ! Cheers.
-
Caramac ! Now there's a blast from the past ! Last time our Saudi daughter-in-Law was here, she asked if we could get caramac, as her mother loves it, but can only buy it on line. We found it in Poundland, of all places, and bough a suitcase full. Cost only a fraction of the price than online ! Cheers.

Just shop at my local asda, mate........nobody even looks up when the alarm goes off. Cheers.

Working dog lads will go to people who breed working dogs. The peddlers, profiteers, and breeders of non-working bred pups will still have people buying their pups, but genuine lads will still either breed their own or go to people they trust. The price is immaterial to me, it's how they are bred. If you want it, you'll travel anywhere and pay what it's worth to you. Cheers.
