I'm a big fan of whippets....but I also believe the old sayings; "horses for courses" and "hounds for grounds" ! I can't for the life of me see any advantage in introducing whippet blood into a foxing lurcher line ? If it's to get more speed, use a greyhound. Cheers.

Just checked my lottery ticket, ( no luck, again), and I see some lucky person in the UK has won £123 million ! Got me thinking what I'd do with such a huge amount of money ? I live in a modest, three bed detached house that's more than enough for me and the missus, and have great neighbours who all look out for each other, so would I move ? Not sure. People say " you could travel wherever you want", I've already travelled everywhere I wanted, and still can, so that wouldn't bother me. I thought the bull shark was fairly common in fresh water ? They are caught in Australian rivers and have been seen in Americas Great Lakes and other places. Cheers.

It doesn't allways work that way though. Remember the minority Tory Government in coalition with with the lib Dems, or Mays minority government with a support agreement with six DUP MP's ? FPTP is what we've decided is democratic, and as Churchilll said " it's the least worst of all bad forms of governance". Cheers.

Nigeria; oil and minerals in abundance, but a hell hole. Zimbabwe; once the "bread basket" of Africa, now a basket case. Venezuela; biggest oil reserves in the world, but their people are starving. Mexico; part of North America and a member of NAFTA along with America and Canada, but their people risk their lives to cross the border. North Korea; Regular famines, yet South Korea is one of the richest, most successful countries in the world. Why is this ? The only common denominator I can see is corrupt governance. Cheers.

The UK gives roughly ten times the overseas aid, per capita than China does. A lot of Chinese "aid" is in return for mineral rights and access to emerging markets for its goods. Nothing wrong with that.......maybe we should try it ! Cheers.

Wether you believe in god or not is irrelevant, but Jesus was more than likely a real person, and probably Jewish; a Semite. Of the three main racial classifications; Caucasoid, Mongoloid, Negroid; Semites are classed as Caucasoid. Olive skinned ? Brown eyed ? Probably, but Caucasian none the less. Why are we blaming the West ? Its countries like China, Russia, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, etc that are building more and more fossil fuelled power stations. Forging ahead producing petrol and diesel vehicles. Its south east Asia and South America that are destroying rain forests at an alarming rate. Of course the West isn't blameless, but if the UK ceased to exist, China would overtake our "carbon footprint" in days ! Does anyone really believe that the UK ceasing to produce internal combustion engined vehicles by 2030 and go all electric will make one iota of difference

It's a paradox........wars, famine, disease reduce population. Stop killing each other, produce drought and pest free food, develop vaccines to eliminate disease and people live longer and population increases. So, are we, by helping people live longer and breed more, building up problems for future generations ? Catch 22. Cheers.
