It's no big deal, mate. My wife, my late daughter and myself walked up to the local pub for a meal. I knew exactly what the cost would be, me being an obsessive compulsive. The barman over charged me, so I asked to see the bill, he refused, and called me a c**t so I got a bit over excited and tried to get over the bar to explain my point of view. He ran away, the manageress came, told me to leave, the lads in the bar agreed with me, but I was still barred. All for £1:50, but it's the principle that counts !! ? !! Cheers.

Jimmy and his brother Geordie were the ones I knocked about with, Jimmy is,I think, still alive, but the last time I saw Geordie was years ago at a ride out from Walkergate to North Shields. Had a drink with him and his big pal from Heddon in the Fosseway pub but I know he died . Their families still live around here and I met young Johnny in the Perigrine pub......the day I got barred ! ? ! But thats another story ! Cheers.

You'll probably remember lads from back then if you're around my age. I'll mention their names as they are probably dead or won't mind me mentioning them. Good old days. I remember a pub we used to go to over 50 years ago, on a Saturday, about 15 mile away, a long way back then. It was called The Lemington Hotel, but known far and wide as "The Darkies Bar" or "The Bangla dash" , ( Pakistan Shandy), because one of the tenants was a Pakistani. Coincidently, I live about a mile from it now, but it's been converted into "luxury apartments". Back then it had stables, and trotting matches were run from there along Scotswood Road. It's a hobby for me. I've no interest in incubators. I gave my brother 10 Cayuga eggs for his incubator and 8 hatched, I got more pleasure from the two I hatched under a banty ! I have the poultry mainly for the eggs, but also like to have something different around the yard, hence the American and Shamo. Out of interest, have you ever bred a pheasant x hen ? Id like to try it, just to see what they look like ! My mate has Reeves and Golden pheasants, I might borrow a cock bird from him ? Cheers.

On the contrary mate, I asked for advice and welcome everyone's input ? I've only had Bovan Goldline layers for about five years, and ducks for about three years. I could get the hybrid p.o.l's for a fiver and Cayuga and Campbell ducks for the same, but the price has now gone through the roof ! I had a good broody bantam, and she hatched a few hen and duck eggs for me, no problem, but she died, probably age. I want to breed replacements for my old stock, so a mate gave me this silkie. I've had duck eggs and hens eggs under a banty twice before before and they all hatched out ok. Not as many as this though. Just two duck and two hens eggs. Cheers.

Funny you should say that about the odd number of eggs, the old lad that has leant me the silkie is from generations of poultry men, and told me the same thing ! Anyhow I've put eleven eggs under her, a right mixture ! 4 American Game x Bovan. 3 Khaki Campbell. 2 Campbell x Call Duck. 2 Shamo. So what is your theory mate ? Theres been lots of conspiracy theories throughout history; Franz Ferdinand being shot by a lone nut, starting World War One. Kenedy being shot by a lone nut. Diana dying in a car crash being driven by a drunk. 9/11. Covid. Could they all just be what they seem ? Or are they all great conspiracies? Depends on the aircraft, but it's as thin as can be while keeping structural integrity. It's the airframe that gives the strength. The skin just keeps the wind out and you in ! ? ! Never worry about flying, it's the safest form of travel, and if your involved in an accident the odds are you'll know nothing about it. I was in the profession for 26 years, knew aircraft inside out, but was allways amazed when a metal tube weighing many tons, carrying even more tons of passengers, cargo and fuel lifted off ! There's programmes giving both the conspiracy side of it and the scientific view of it. People need to watch both sides with open minds and come to a conclusion. Stop, stop using my lines ! ? ! Ive flown more miles than most, due to my job, but even my five year old grandson phones me from a long haul to tell me what his meal is ! I try to discourage it as it's so expensive, but his mum spoils him ! Get up in business class or first class and see the posers phoning their brokers , etc. Honestly , it's no big deal these days or even when I retired 17 years ago ? Cheers.

In the event of a highjacking or hostage situation I'd follow the universally accepted rules; Keep your head down. Avoid eye contact. Say nothing. Do everything you're told.
