  1. When Northern Lad called in for a visit, he took some pics of my old dogs, these were the black and whites; If you could colourise them, we could compare them with the colour shots ? Cheers.
  2. No mate, the first one was offered to me but I had three dogs at the time so passed, the other one was kept. A litter brother went down the midlands, and as far as I know is having a good career on deer. Cheers.
  3. Just been checking my records, these pics of some of the pups were taken in June 2019; so they were probably born around April/may 2019 ? Cheers.
  4. Maybe two year ago, not sure. Cheers.
  5. Just for complete disclosure; the parti-coloured dog belongs to CH, my mate loaned him the red bitch to breed a litter, and this is the litter. My mate offered me a pup, but it wasn't my type. I don't want to get involved in a " he said-she said" , " my mate told me" type of discussion ? Cheers. Edited to add; I've evidently got my dogs and owners confused, it comes with age ! ? ! The parti coloured dog WASN'T owned by CH, it was owned by another person. CH bred the red bitch and it was owned by my mate. The breeding wasn't anything to do with CH.
  6. Why would any youngsters want to be on a site full of cantankerous old farts like us ? Cheers
  7. Yes'm mate, this bitch is stockier and heavier boned. I put that down to the dam which is an Irish coursing bitch, whereas the dam to the other one was an English racing bred bitch. The deerhound blood is more or less the same. The hounds are very well behaved, I'm not sure if there would still be 100 lurchers in the car park a minute after they were let loose, though ! ?? Cheers.
  8. Here's a few wheatan types owned by mates in the U.K. and Ireland. Two first crosses and their litter; Two line bred Wheatan/greys; Two litter sisters, Deerhound x Wheatan/Grey; Cheers.
  9. Huge number of mounted followers, I estimated around a hundred, could be wrong but certainly more than usual. They didn't hunt, it was just a meet. Cheers.
  10. Yeah, she'll be 8 months next week. Good to get her socialised with the hounds and horses. Cheers.
  11. Excellent turnout at the Morpeth Hunt today. Master addressing the supporters; Must have been around 100 mounted followers; Got to say, it's a very uneven pack; Even the odd Welsh hound; Nancy the deer/grey pup and the hounds getting to know each other; Cheers.
  12. The second pic is probably Anastasia Noble. A true deerhound enthusiast. Cheers.
  13. All the best to everyone ! ??? Cheers.
  14. Just my own thoughts, but I feel Blair, Mandelson and Campbell thought we would vote remain in the EU referendum, and Blairs ultimate goal was President of Europe. A man with no honour, no principles and no loyalty.....he would have suited the job perfectly. Now with The Order of the Garter he is firmly established in the heart of the Establishment, and will be able to get up to all the mischief he wants. Cheers.
  15. Correct, he's a chancer who used the Labour Party to great effect. How many voted for them when he was leader, thinking they were voting for a socialist government ? Cheers.
  16. What next ? Lord Corbyn ? These Socialist republicans soon change when there's a bauble to be had........ To quote the Great Groucho; " These are my principals.....if you don't like them, I have others". Cheers.
  17. That's perfect. When I got the adjoining allotment, I moved all the poultry into there and I built a raised bed where the chicken run used to be. Years of chicken shite and straw, just turned it over and put turnip plugs in that I'd grown from seed in the greenhouse, and the came up great. Cheers.
  18. I've done no-dig for years, just rotorvate it in every three years. Make my own compost, and the chicken and duck shite goes in as well, the pikeys have horses literally outside my Allotments so plenty of horse shite aswell, make sure the poultry and horse shite is well rotted or the acid will kill the plants. For root veg, I mix in some sharp sand into the beds. Shop bought compost is far to expensive, defeats the point of growing your own stuff. Pleanty leaf mould around for free ! Cheers.
  19. That last big storm took my poly tunnel cover right off ! My own fault. Should have removed it for the winter ! As far as slugs go, I just use the blue pellets from the pound shop. I understand your reluctance to use chemicals, I try to be as organic as possible, but they are the only thing that seems to be effective. By the way, everything in my polytunnel is in 25 litre containers, not direct into the ground. mC , I use equal amounts of well rotted horse shite, compost and soil. Cheers.
  20. What's trust got to do with facts ? Man has walked on the moon, simple as that. You don't want to believe it, as I've said, that's your prerogative. Your views of the world have absolutely no effect on my life, just as my views have no effect on yours ? Cheers.
  21. Ok, I said I wouldn't answer, but no, it's not suspicious, the costs are now so exhorbitant to find out the same things they already know. The experiments they would do on the moon can be successfully replicated to a great degree on the ISS at a fraction of the cost. The Americans could go back to the moon any time they wanted if congress would commit the money and resources Did you know that the Russians and Chinese are collaborating on a manned moon base in the near future ? Im sorry, but I find it exasperating that people doubt the moon landings, and I don't want to get into argum
  22. "Pull a crafty one" ????? Do you know how many manned moon landings there have been ? Do you know how many men have walked on the moon ? Everyone of them monitored by friends and foes, foes who would like nothing better than to discredit the USA ! Im not going to answer or add anything else to this discussion as it's pointless, If you and mC honestly believe it was was all a hoax or conspiracy then that's your prerogative. Cheers.
  23. Of course. Over 400,000 scientists, engineers, physicists, medical people, etc directly involved in in the moon landing program, millions more in the supply chain, every step monitored by the UK, Russia, China, Canada, Australia , Japan. All of these sworn to secrecy ? All part of a great conspiracy? Why ? Surely the likes of Russia and China would love to disprove it ? Apart from the fact that I've worked with people in the aerospace industry that were involved and certainly weren't cranks or conspirers Cheers.
  24. Have a look at the van Allen belt; Its all about launch timing and direction to avoid dangerous exposure. Cheers.
