  2. "The Grebster is out there....He can't be reasoned with. He doesn't feel pity, or remorse, or fear. And he will absolutely not stop posting until you give in ! " ?? Cheers.
  3. I'd give your other kidney for Boris to be replaced by Steve Baker or David Davis ! ? ! Real Brexiteers ! ? ! Cheers.
  4. I've been out with four different lads, three of them members on here , and caught 1/4 and 1/2 grown leverets in February over the years. Cheers.
  5. I bet Ukraine is regretting giving up their nuclear arsenal and letting Russia destroy the warheads ! Cheers.
  6. Go for it, Kieth ! ? You can allways pack it in if it doesn't suit you personally or financially. The thing is to avoid boredom at all costs, it can be very easy to get into a rut ! Ive been retired for 18 years, and while my missus does a lot of travelling, I've done enough travelling in my life and am a home bird now. When the missus was away, I signed up for all sorts of things; I did three month teaching dole claimants how to construct a c.v., open an e mail account, etc. I took a two month course on solar panel installation, so I could install my own if I ever got roun
  7. I believe the BBC is now the propaganda arm of the left. I also believe that the statements by Nadine Dorris about the licence fee are just a diversion away from Boris and the Tories "partygate" problems. A two year freeze on the licence tax and then a review in 2027 ? If she was serious about it, she would have told them this was the last year the licence would apply, and they need to make arrangements for alternative funding. By 2027 there will be a different government, with different problems and the BBC licence will be forgotten about, even if it wasn't, there would pr
  8. Yeah, I had one saluki that had a hatred for pariahs, feral dogs, and killed a couple, but they were pretty weak, scabby specimens, to be honest. He once tried to take on three, and they made a mess of him, over 100 stitches. Havent a clue why he hated them, he was fine with other dogs. Cheers.
  9. The litter brother to my old bitch Delta got loose and lived wild for around six weeks before my mate managed to catch it. It was living in a woods, haven't got a clue what it lived on. A local Miniature Snauzer got out one bonfire night and lived wild near my Allotments for around three months. I saw it many times, but only managed to catch it when it was trying to run in deep snow. Poor f****r was just about finished but I got it back to its owner and it made a full recovery. Cheers.
  10. You'll be after free b&b at mine, you tight c**t ! ?? ! Cheers.
  11. Was the same on the shoot I used to beat on. Not many shoots let you on with a lurcher, but this one even let us have a slip in between beats, as long as it didn't interfere with the shoot ! Cheers.
  12. Young'un who's brother I lamp with got £82 the other day and has been offered £90 for the next shoot. Cheers..
  13. Fifteen year ago we were getting £35, your dinner, first drink in the pub afterwards and as many birds as you wanted. Cheers.
  14. A shoot at Alnwick in Northumberland is paying beaters £90 a day ! Cheers.
  15. It isn't an alternator any more; it's been converted into a motor. It provides two functions; 1; to drive, via the belt, the a/c generator. 2; to provide an excitation voltage for the a/c generator. "Perpetual" is a bit of a misnomer, the Laws of Thermodynamics prevent that. I would assume to build a system big enough to provide a substantial amount of current would need some sort of prime mover to start the motor running, not a piece of string. I agree with what others have said, solar panels seem a lot simpler, and probably more efficient. I also understand
  16. He's been on horse back since before he could walk ! Not sure if that's to do with my p***y side of the family, or his mother's Bedouin side of the family ? ? ! Cheers.
  17. What the hell, just thought I'd put this pic of my six year old grandson getting his horse up to a canter; f**k all to do with Salukis, slipping and slop, but brings a huge smile to my face ! ? ! Cheers.
  18. I don't know mate. The only BOP I've had was a kestrel my daughter rescued. I trained it to the hood and glove, but it was just a pet; Cheers..
  19. Hamas Ghunaim, who is the president of the world saluki association was a friend of my late daughter, and invited me over to Dubai to see and spend some time at his Saluki Centre in Abu Dabhi. I jumped on the first 'plane that would take me there using my free tickets ! ? ! I spent a month out there, and also went to his falconry mews on Dubai racecourse. I had a falcon he was training for Sheik Mahktoum on my arm. He'd paid $100,000 dollars for it, so I could be forgiven for worrying if the f****r had started baiting and got injured ! ? ! Cheers.
  20. I owned a few. The hares were few and far between ? I was lucky enough to work for an airline, who's benefits they gave me enabled me to fly around the world for free and follow my passion for working dogs, which I used to my full advantage. The missus sometimes got a bit upset when she wanted to sit on a beach, but I wanted to hunt fox or pigs ! But we've been happily married for 45 years, so I guess it worked out ok ! ? ! Cheers.
  21. He's a dog ! ? ! To be honest, I had the dogs out much as possible, but to even see a hare in the saudi desert , never mind kill one was a rarity . I ran a few, but killed even fewer. I have friends out their who have the means and finances to take their dogs and birds to hunt in North Africa and Pakistan who do well with the same types. Cheers.
  22. Have you ever seen a thread on here that hasn't meandered ? Lets get it back on track; here's a genuine, c.o.o., beduin bred Saluki , I owned back in the early eighties; Cheers.
