I've done a few things.......but I've had a lot of years to do them in ! ?? ! Cheers.
-
I used to make it ! ? ! It has different names in various parts of the Middle East, we called it "siddiqui"; Arabic for "my friend ! ? ! Cheers.
-
Try now ? Cheers.

It was 6 month quarantine at the time and he said it would ruin an eight month Saluki pup, and I agreed with him. I brought a Doberman back from saudi and it did 6 month quarantine and I swore I'd never put a dog through that again Cheers.
-
My dogs in saudi were just Bedouin bred, no fancy names or pedigrees. Hamed, ( I mistakenly called him Hassan), offered me one of these pups as a gift if I could get it back to the UK without the quarantine at the time, but it wasn't possible. Cheers.

He's a friend of my daughter. I was talking to him on the phone and he invited me to see his kennels and falconry mews so I jumped on a flight and went out there for a month . Cheers.

They are pures mate; Hassan Ghunaim kennels in Abu Dhabi ? Cheers.

I should have got someone to do the entries.....my handwriting is atrocious! ? ! Cheers.

Yeah, it was different in the past, but it was far easier for an employer to get rid of an unsuitable employee. These days it's almost impossible to sack someone, you'll end up at a tribunal or a court case and , win or lose, it will cost you ! Good or bad ? I don't know, but if I was an employer, I'd want to be absolutely sure the guy I was hiring was right for the job ! Cheers.

Just getting back to Sloughi's, the dog on the left looks like a sloughi, the dog on the right looks like a saluki, and the one in the middle could be a cross between the two ! But the owner/breeder told me they were litter mates ! Cheers.
-
Plenty fox around there aswell ! ? ! Cheers.
-
I keep a game book; Not huge numbers, but an honest account. Some names have been hidden to prevent embarrassment! ?? ! Cheers.

I think he had heart problems for a while, Ray. Doubtless some one will say it was the Covid vaccine caused it. Cheers
-
I think they still hunt with them in North Africa, but I haven't seen it. I don't know of anyone here who has had them, but that doesn't mean it hasn't happened. Cheers.
-
Not necessarily, some of the Indian running dogs come in brindle, and may have been introduced into the breed by traders. Of course, British soldiers and diplomats brought dogs home from the Middle East and North Africa, so it's quite possible they took greyhounds in the other direction ? Cheers.
-
Some people insist they are separate breeds, quoting DNA tests, but most Arabs consider them just a regional version of the saluki, and they both have the same name in Arabic. I suppose it depends how far back you go, but I'd guess all sight hounds have a common ancestor. Cheers.

Enjoyed all his music. He played a good part in that strange film " 51 st State". Cheers.

I was offered a coursing bred pup a while back, for the same reason. Eight months old, the lad kept a dog and bitch back until he decided, then offered me the bitch for free. Cheers.
-
I'm not doubting it's genuine, just supprised a 10 month old pup is being sold in the middle of the season. if it's genuine, all of the hard work should have been done by now, and price, to a certain extent, should be immaterial. Cheers.
-
I'm in no way whatsoever casting aspersions , but I have to ask why is a 10 month old coursing pup being sold in the middle of the season ? Cheers.

About ten years ago, a guy brought some dogs over from Ireland, they were Saluki/Borzoi/Greyhound. They were stunning looking dogs, and I was offered an 18 month dog for £300. He said I could see it on a hare, but I passed on it. Have any of you Irish lads seen them run ? I think the guy was well known over there. Cheers.
-
Saga, mate ? Just another 30 years and you can apply to them for insurance ? Cheers.
-
I pay less than £200 fully comp. Never had a claim , no points, full no claims discount, and drive a piece of shit 14 year old 1.2 Renault Kangoo ! ?? ! Cheers.
-
Yeah, my insurance allows me to drive other cars, but the insurance company in this case said it was a scam, as no one had insurance on the Range Rover, even though the husband owned it, he was probably on the Corsas insurance aswell, pulling the same scam. Chees.

On one of those Interceptors shows the other day a woman got pulled driving a Range Rover for no insurance. She said it was her husbands car and the insurance on her corsa allowed her to drive other cars. The police phoned the insurance company and they said it didn't cover cars owned by family. Seemed a canny little scam, insure a Corsa and drive a Range Rover, until the police towed the car away and she was done for no insurance, six points took her over the twelve and she was banned. Cheers.
