Like everything to do with "tax avoidance ", ( legal), and "tax evasion", ( illegal), the waters get very muddied. On the face of it, they have done nothing illegal, but where it gets muddied is the origional assertion that she, as an Indian passport holder couldn't become a britshish citizen because of Indian law saying you can't have dual nationality, that is why she had to become a non-Dom in the U.K. This turned out not to be true. Then there is the fact they both held US Green Cards, meaning that the US had to be their main domicile, but it wasn't. They say they have given

Stick to hares on the slop, mate ! ? Cheers.

If you look at the respective losses in men and equipment in the Winter War, it was a very, very, Phyrric victory for the Russians. History repeating itself in Ukraine ? Cheers.

I'm guessing you and Jukel are referring to Sunak never becoming Prime Minister ? Its not the electorate that will stop him.......it's the Tory Party that will. Hes now toxic with them as far as popularity goes. No, they won't let it happen, its an open goal for the Labour Party. I can just see Starmer on Sky News ; " The Tories want a tax evader to be your Prime Minister" ! Theyll pick someone who's shady dealings aren't so public. Cheers.

If every individual, company and corporation, ( Starbucks, Amazon etc ?), who evade, avoid U.K. tax paid their fair share, who knows, maybe we would, just maybe, see a difference. As for the Sunaks, what is it about his job that means they are willing to pay up another £20 million in taxes and suffer the opprobrium they are now suffering ? They are, in anyone's estimation, mega rich, if it were me I'd have handed my resignation in to Boris, and be on the earliest flight to our Californian mansion by now ! He must realise he has absolutely no chance of becoming Prime Minister no

I doubt anyone will willingly incriminate themselves, but I've heard tell of lads who have taken some of the more exotic species of deer, wild boar and even wallabies here in the U.K. Cheers.

Italian Greyhounds (and crosses)
chartpolski replied to Scheme_Lakeland's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Italian Greyhounds are a toy breed, why would anyone want to use one as a base in lurcher breeding ? Surely a whippet is a far better choice ? No one would dream of using a Toy Yorkshire Terrier as a base for a fox digging Terrier........would they ? Cheers. -
Same here ! The Mackem language isn't to far removed from Geordie. If they speak slowly, we can just about understand them ! ?? Cheers.

Why complicate things ? Keep the guinea fowl enclosed and feed them at the same time every day until they start coming to to you at feed time, and they are "hanted" as we say up here, just like homing pigeons. Then release them and keep feeding them same time, same place. They won't stray far. Cheers.

Whatever the rights or wrongs of the Sunaks tax status, the hypocrisy is staggering ! Labour MP Emily Thornberry, AKA Lady Nugee, has just been on the news, not exactly accusing the Sunak of anything illegal, but making insinuations and innuendo. Remember, this is the very rich woman who bought a council house in London and sold it on at great profit ! The same woman who sneered at the house flying a Saint George's flag, mocked "white van man", and said Brexit voters were less intelligent than remainers ! But, hey, let's not let principles get in the way of party politics !

I've only had two dogs I never got along with. A first cross collie Greyhound that was so bad I can't even remember it's name or what happened to it. It turned me off collie crosses, perhaps unfairly, for life ! The other was my first and last foray into working terriers; a well bred red fell bitch. I didn't bond with it, and digging holes wasn't my idea of fun, but I gave it a go, try most things once....but never again. I'll stick to running dogs ? Cheers.

I never mentioned morality personally in any of my posts . I quoted David Cameron hypocritically saying in in reference to Jimmy Carr. Cheers.

Tax is a very necessary obligation. Without tax how do we pay for defence, the NHS, ambulance , police and fire services, rubbish collection, street lights, etc ? Tax evasion and avoidance means less money for those services, and a bigger burden for the taxpayer. Of course it's far from perfect and needs reform. Of course money could be saved elsewhere, I've never understood why we as a country borrow money, pay interest on it, then give it away in overseas aid. But, to quote Benjamin Franklin; " nothing is certain in this world except death and taxes" ? Cheers.

A quote by Billy Connolly WWW.GOODREADS.COM The desire to be a politician should bar you for life from ever becoming one.”Don't vote. It just encourages them.... Cheers.

I don't know mate, far greater minds than mine have pondered this and come to no conclusion. As Churchill said; "Democracy is the least worst of the alternatives", or words to that effect. At a debate, long, long ago, the question was " What is the best form of government"; my reply was "A Benevolent Dictatorship", , but sadly there hasn't been one since Solomon, and as someone once said; "power corrupts......absolute power absolutely corrupts" ! Cheers.

When Jimmy Carr was found to be using a LEGAL loophole to avoid tax, David Cameron said it was legal, but "morally reprehensible." Then when it was found that him and his wife were trust fund beneficiaries of their respective fathers LEGAL loophole offshore tax avoidance accounts, he went very quiet on the subject ! So, I reiterate, legal.......but not right. Cheers.
-
It's legal, just like fox hunting and coursing used to be legal ! Tax avoidance loopholes are made by the rich and powerful, for the rich and powerful........just because it's legal, doesn't make it right. Cheers.

Yeah, I've seen them in NZ and Australia, but not with the solid wooden base, seen slatted wooden base. They usually have a mesh base, but I'm not keen on that either. Maybe a plastic, or fibre glass sort of base would be better ? Cheers.

I don't get it ? When I lived and worked abroad, I registered as "non-domicile for tax purposes ", but as soon as I came home i had to sign forms saying I was no longer a " non-Dom". Maybe my financial adviser wasn't as good as Rishi's ? Cheers.

I may be wrong, but I don't think she has any pure Deerhounds now. I saw her at Wolsingham Show, and she won the lurcher pups with a 3/4 deerhound, 1/8 Greyhound, 1/8 Wheaton. A really nice looking pup, looked just like a pure deerhound . I don't know about any pups she has, or what price they were. Cheers.

Trio of beddy types ; Left to right; First cross beddy/grey . Beddy/grey x Saluki/grey. Beddy/grey x deer/grey-Whippet/grey. Cheers.

I can sense the tide turning on this trans nonsense. Evidently the women cyclists threatened to boycott the event if they had to race against a bloke. A lot of women are now putting their heads above the parapet and voicing their concerns and opposition. It doesn't help when Kier Starmer refused to answer the question "can a woman have a penis ?", but if it looks as though women will turn against Labour over the "trans issue", I'm sure he'll find some balls. ( pun intended). I can't see what the problem is......if it's got a penis and testicles, it's a bloke, if it's got a

Maybe they were left in the field and made their way to somewhere they might get a feed, who knows......c**ts trick either way. Id rather shoot a dog myself than dump it. Cheers.
-
I can't understand why someone would dump a dog in a pub car park ? Surely there would be cctv in pub car parks ? If they are that callous , why not just leave the dog in the field ? Maybe these dumped dogs are stolen, then found not to be any use, so are dumped ? Cheers.

I think he aimed that comment at me ? It was "That's What I Call Lurcher Work 2 " Hes had a hard on for me for quite a while, trolls all my posts, but I just consider him a bitter, jealous man of limited intelligence, so I won't worry about it ? Cheers.
