  1. Is that for a business, or do you live in a castle ? ?? Cheers.
  2. I remember being supprised and disappointed when I saw the river Jordan, it was dry at points and at others it looked like a wet ditch. Same with the Rio Grande, the Great river, in places you could literally step across it ! Nothing to do with God or aliens, and all to do with counties diverting the flow to water their fields, especially in places like the middile east where water is at a premium ? Cheers.
  3. I'm over £1,000 in credit with my energy supplier. They pay interest on a positive balance which compares with the bank. I have a smart meter and it constantly updates the amount I need to pay by direct debit to achieve a break even point. At the moment, I pay £184 per month, but they estimate £99 per month to break even I can reduce or increase my payments instantly on their app, I can also ask for any credit to be put back into my bank. Im leaving it as it is, because I'm expecting another rise in the "cap" in April, so I'd like to be ahead of the curve. What immense
  4. Are the polar ice caps melting ? I saw a report that there is more polar ice now than for decades. Remember when it was called "global warming" ? The names been subtely changed to "climate change" ! Try telling the yanks there's "global warming" at the moment......... Cheers.
  5. Some of my presents brought back fond memories of my childhood Xmas'; Socks, but gortex, not knitted wool. Torch, but LED, lithium rechargeable , not battery . Radio, DAB, not transistor. Just as excited with my presents as I was 60-65 years ago ! ??! Cheers.
  6. She wasn't arrested for praying, she was arrested for breaking a public order warning four times; Row erupts after false claims woman was arrested for ‘silent praying’ | UK | News | Express.co.uk WWW.EXPRESS.CO.UK Twitter was forced to correct a false claim made by a right-wing US commentator that an anti-abortionist was arrested for "silent praying" in Birmingham. Cheers.
  7. They are used to inclement weather in Canada, and the Canadians I know laugh at us when we close schools, close roads, and generally get into a panic when we get a light dusting of snow ! ?? Cheers.
  8. Not as simple as that. Theres a "buffer zone " around abortion clinics, to stop protesters harassing women going into the clinics. This woman has form for this, and runs some sort of anti abortion group. She thought she could protest silently within the "buffer zone" by praying. The " rights and wrongs" of it ? I don't know. But it must be horrific for a some woman to make the decision to abort a child, they don't need people protesting them. Just my opinion. ? Cheers.
  9. I've been out this morning, I'll be out with the local hunt on Boxing Day, and I've got a mornings coursing planned for Wednesday..........so, yes, hunting ? Cheers.
  10. A merry Xmas and happy new year to all the people on here that I've met or haven't, and happy and safe hunting ! ??????? Cheers, Charts ?
  11. To be fair, he's the one most people forget when asked to name the team, but a great player nonetheless. Cheers.
  12. When I read the title, I thought I'd finally become famous , or infamous ! ?? Cheers.
  13. I've never bred a litter in 57 years of owning running dogs, used one or two of my dogs as stud, but if I ever did breed, you'd be welcome to one F.O.C ? Cheers.
  14. Yes, it was Victoria, but Dooley, I think, is in NSW. No matter, just I saw a few very decent whippets down there ? Cheers.
  15. FFS Blacky ! He's just got over one clutcher, don't give him another one ! Outcross to a bull or deer x ? Wash your mouth out ! ?? Cheers.
  16. Have you heard of Rimrock Whippets, mate ? I think it was Dooley who owned them. I had a run out once with him but he had his terriers with him. Drommana had a pair of decent whippets with him that took foxes. Cheers.
  17. I was thinking more 70's, but I've heard the name mentioned, probably when I've been reminiscing with other old 'uns ?? Some top dogs came from the Ashington, Bedlington area. Cheers.
  18. When was that, mate ? I remember the name Axel ? Cheers.
  19. Not one of mine mate, it came over from Ireland for the EDRD show. I was the judge and gave it best in show. ? Cheers.
  20. I've heard about "having a arsehole like a .303 exit wound" after consuming a rather potent curry......but this is taking it to extremes ! ? ! Cheers.
  21. They also don't need a medical diagnosis of "gender diaspora " from a doctor or psychiatrist as was the rule previously, they just need to say " I identify as a woman, and three month later they get a "gender certificate ". They are then legally able to use women's changing rooms, women's fefuges, and as has been said, if they are charged with rape, the court and victim and witnesses MUST use the feminine pronouns or be in contempt of court ! This applies, at the moment, only in Scotland.....what happens if the come to the rest of the UK ? Sturgeon forced this through, the woman
  22. Personally, I think the saluki type is the ultimate daytime hare dog, but other types are, probably, in my mind, better on deer. But there are other crosses that can and do take daytime hares, and then again, not everyone wants to only run daytime hares ! Before the saluki lads say, "but Saluki types can do other things", yes, of course they can; I remember Max bringing a coursing bitch out of retirement and impressing in one of the lamping competitions. Ive owned pure and cross Salukis, and most other types, but my advice is go with a dog that suits your land, quarry, circumsta
  23. Like you, I'm old enough to remember before the saluki type arrived ! ?? Up here the deer cross was the " go too" type for daytime hare and roe. Billy Docherty had great results with pure and cross Deerhounds, and I remember some of the Ashington match dogs, Thor and the Widdrington Train spring to mind. Heavily deerhound blooded dogs, and there was a lad from around Durham ran the same types in matches around Drax. Even our old pal Tomo had some success with a whippet/grey x deer/grey. But according to some, these deer types have no prey drive, are big lumbering curs......
  24. Sire was non-ped champion Memphis Belle, half non-ped whippet, half Greyhound. Broke Greyhound track records. The owner offered to put it over my old deer/grey Lima, but I never got round to it. Dam was a working deerhound bitch in Ireland. Stunning looking dog, but I never seen it work, so I couldn't comment on its ability ? Cheers.
  25. Non-ped whippet/Greyhound x Deerhound; Cheers.
