    There are some phrases that seem to have become popular since the proliferation of cooking shows, such as “ pan fried” and “oven baked” . Surely that’s splitting the infinitive? I’ve always fried things in a pan and baked things in an oven ! Pedantic ? Probably, but I’m waiting for the darts to come on ! Cheers.

    I prefer to put my energy into a very small and receptive clientele. If I can pass my meagre knowledge onto someone who will appreciate it, then my work on this mortal coil will not have been in vain ! So, I’ll persevere with you, even though it demands the patience of Job. Cheers.

    I thought he was the best player on the pitch for the first 20 minutes, but then he changed position, but hey, I had just got to know what “between the lines” and “high press” were, then they hit me with “playing in the pocket”, ( I thought it was a snooker term I’d never heard of !! ), but I’m certainly no expert, I just enjoy the game !     If anyone is in doubt of how corrupt and duplicitous the EU is, look no further than Donald Tusk. He was President of the European Council during the UK’s exit. He fought it all the way and espoused the benefits of open borders and immigrants. Now he is standing for President of Poland on a manifesto of border control and limited immigration! As my yank friends would say; “ go figure” ! Cheers.

    The shithouse remainers tried everything to reverse Brexit but couldn’t, so they decided to oppose everything about Brexit and blame everything on Brexit, just so they could say “I told you !”. It doesn’t matter to them that their actions harm the country, they couldn’t care less, as long as Brexit is seen to fail. Traitors…. fucken traitors, who would rather see the UK ruled by an unelected elite in Brussels. I hope I live long enough to see them on trial…… Cheers.

    Who gave Khan the power to increase road tax for the whole of the UK ? I pay road tax, I should be able to drive on all public roads without paying extra. I live in Newcastle, but if I drive down to London, I have to pay Khans road tax even though my vehicle is legal. Again, who gave him this power ? Cheers.

    Did they actually use any money from the charity ? I can’t see any report of that. It looks like they used the name of the charity, without permission, to to get planning permission to build a garden office. They then build a swimming pool complex , using their own name. Planning wasn’t approved so they may have to knock it down. Just how I’m reading the reports, there could be more to it ? Cheers.
