  1. I shot one at a 45 gallon drum to test them, and it made a usual.22 hole on entry and three dents on the other side. I don’t know about live quarry though?
  2. Ive tried the cci segmented in a couple of rifles, they certainly hit hard and do the job when they hit the mark, but accuracy was left wanting in the rifles that I used them in. If they suit your barrel, that’s great, I’d probably use them a lot if I got better accuracy from them. The 45 grain cci suppressor however, I’ve found to be very effective.
  3. Have you tried a Harry Potter invisibility cloak Mark? Saves all that bother? Nice hide fella? ?
  4. I’m sure something will turn up if you persevere Nigel. As Rez says, like with most things it tends to be who you know. I was lucky, been on farms since I was a lad, and there’s a farm in the family, so consequently have always known farmers, and the more you know, the more you get to know. I used to do quite a bit of feral clearance as well, maybe that might be a way forward if you know of any old factories that might be in need of help? Have you tried your local transfer station with regard to vermin control?
  5. Plinking on the garden probably wouldn’t be deemed as a good reason.Apply for fac air for vermin control on your permissions, it will most likely come as an open ticket. Then, as walshie says, you can use it wherever you have permission to shoot, including your garden.
  6. Great result, glad you had a good day?
  7. Yerr’ the .25 pylarm are different entirely. Let’s hope the wasps suit your barrel. Only one way to find out?
  8. I couldn’t agree more?, I’ve had some of my best and most memorable sport on the squirrels.?
  9. I’d tend to agree Ian, but I was astonished by how accurate they are in my little hw99 at 30 yards.
  10. Bleddy ‘ell, go steady Stavross ?
  11. The defiants are made for the older 5.6mm .22’s but I’ve never seen any for sale, let alone tried them. Milbro select or Caledonian might be worth a try? but I’ve always thought that .22 airsporters are very pellet sensitive for both accuracy and power. My airsporter S ran at about 11.7 ft lbs with Eley wasp, everything else I put over the chrono was around 9.5 - 10 ft lbs with poor accuracy because they were simply too loose in the bore. The bsa pylarm pellets that were available in .177 and .22 were indeed Eley wasps, bsa had them made by Eley and they were relabelled as “bsa pylarm”
  12. The original Eley Wasps were the only pellets that worked well in my .22 airsporters. I don’t have an airsporter now, but the 5.6 bisley wasps that are available aren’t as well made as the original Eley wasps. However, they could be worth a try, as they’re surprisingly accurate in my hw99, better than jsb express in that rifle.
  13. An expensive curios imo. I’m not sure what that can do, that a rimfire can’t really, and at greater expense? I’d have thought that .22 or .25 at around 30-50 ft lbs is where the most useful output is for high powered airguns. Beyond that you’re probably better off with powder burners. Just my opinion.
  14. Good shooting SD, how long did it take you to find the bullet??
  15. She left it under the pillow for me ?
  16. Good work cragman? Hornet is a great little round and hits harder than some might think.

  18. I’ve never used a side entry Larsen off the ground, but I don’t see why it shouldn’t work on a flat bed. Why are you using side entry Ben? You might find it difficult to retrieve your trapped bird alive without it escaping, compared to top entry, it will be more difficult in that respect.
  19. Not to mention all the forks and spoons...........?
  20. I won’t be volunteering.................?
  21. They seem a bit thin on the ground atm, even livens only have one .22 impact in stock and that one’s 12ft lb.? There’s one thing though, in this shit weather I wouldn’t be out playing with a new toy anyway. It would just be sat there teasing me?
