They defo bond with one person for sure . I couldn't look at the wife wrong . Yet he seen me as boss . Took the piss out my missus and daughter. But never tried to take piss out me . Special dogs for some reason. Masters at nothing. But jack of all trades -

Aye , great dogs . Dont think I will get another . Family is distraught. But as you say , not many get to over 14 . . There was an argument over a £100 football polish lads had went up onto sport centre roof and retrieved it . The local lads had waited for the maintenance to get it on the friday . Anyway , they wouldn't give back ant tensions were high . I was walking bye with the pig whilst the poles were playing ( with said ball) . I opened the gate said give me the ball . When I got told to f**k off I simply gave a little lead . The bold fella went straight to him needless to say . The -

I lost mine on friday . 14 n half . He was a proper gentleman. Good blusher. But I couldnt break him to livestock. So he was left behind most times . Great temperament. However hed kill a sharpei in a heart beat . They are the missing link tbh . But I reckon that's what makes them intriguing ? -

A mile over the hill from there it's all moorland . Was good a long time ago . But between squads of lads being taken on and thermal shooting it's very poor now. Was always good for pups
-
Other side of water d . About a mile past caravan park. Just at the little railway tunnel
-
Did they catch it D . I can mind 30 year back you got them across the clyde from that bit on the flat grass . The made for the mast at top of that hill . Scary stuff when the turned back down ?
-
I caught it in a place called muirkirk. Was known for whites years back. I caught it just on the edge of the moor . I couldn't tell which it was . As I was doing work in Strathclyde university I asked them if they wanted it . They did , and I was told it was indeed a hybrid. They asked to keep it . I later read that it's a lot more common in Finland. And I've also caught an albino brown
-
They do in spring and in hardships. More cases of hybridization happen where numbers are struggling. It used to be thought thai it didnt happen . It does . I've caught a hybrid myself
-
Bad news in a sense. The gangs will be on the moors when the birds are nesting.
-
Farm near me had record numbers last summer. Virus blew through. I've seen one on it all summer so far

Cant judge dogs in April to be fair . Think it kept getting put back because of the weather . But what can you do when it was banned a short time after
-
Just transport them in dog crates . Dig out old burrys and release . Catch more rabbits from totally different areas and create a varied / strong gene pool
-
He was very good at the barbel by all accounts.

Romeo x Tikka pups
The drover replied to thefensarefarbutistillgo's topic in Lurchers & Running Dogs
Proper well bred . Some of the best producers in there . Nero, cindy ,Romeo etc . Certainly giving yourself a chance. But will they click . Pays your money and buckle down . 18 months ain't that long .best a luck with the pups -
My pal had a lab first x in the late 80s . Lacked a bit top end pace . But had a little burst and strike of a cobra when it mattered . Not enough of them for a strong gene pool . But if bred to type for 4/5 generations . They could add to even coursing types imo . Oh , that same dog was mustard on fox
-
Good stuff . Teaching the young lad proper values. Summer fishing . Winter dogs .
-
Be nice to see them bred with some decent pures if they do the business . Very nice indeed
