  1. Safety glasses and a little piece of tape. It works fast. Honest. You won't need to do it for long.
  2. The only problem shooting one eye closed with a shotgun Ben is that you can lose some depth of field.
  3. When my left eye wants to be boss I stick a pea size of masking tape on my glasses in the position the left eye want to look when the gun is shouldered. It soon gives up trying.
  4. Seen plenty blowhards before haven't we hey.....
  5. I just discreetly disappear. If they are up to no good I find their car......
  6. I miss my rabbit sales. We use to go out and get between 30&60 in my jimney. Me lamping, my mate shooting.well done lads.
  7. Yeah but would you eat it? When enough of them are spread on the land we will be eating and drinking them!
  8. Not personally no but there are quite a few videos and info on rimfirecentral.
  9. Yes but John....would he drink the water after?
  10. What about my muzzloaders...I'll be sticking to lead illegal or not. I don't have an issue with steel in modern guns except that replacing lead for plastic wads just seems dumb to me. Its all just nonsense from the anti shooting brigades otherwise the building industry would of been forced to stop using it, battery manufacturing would of ceased and my water pipe would of been replaced by now! What I don't see is a mountain of lead shot killing wildlife left, right and centre but I do see mountains of plastic and rafts of the stuff killing wildlife globally. So when I do bre
  11. I certainly dry the barrels of condensation after bringing the cold rifle in from the cold except for a 22. Bullet lube protects them. The 17 gets a clean every 100 or so rounds. Hoppes or forest foam. Any centerfire apart from drying as mentioned, every 20-50 rounds.
  12. Put them in the for sale section mate or on the stalking directory. You nice man....
  13. I'm knackered. I walked miles after a pheasant yesterday and at 9:45 set off on two farms looking for Charlie. Never saw one. I'm starting to think I've got them under control and it seems they have stopped dropping them. Saw loads of skylarks. The wind was ace. It was a superb night but my knees and foot is killing me this morning. I also don't understand why I'm not as thin as a rake!
  14. Crappy photo warning but I was out hunting pheasant this morning and bumped a roe doe up. It stopped for ages less than 30yds away. It had seen my dog. Here is the crappy photo. You can just see her arse. No siblings about though. I'm petrified of dog men finding these! It would just be my luck. There hasn't been roe here for over 70 years!
  15. I had a 23lb fox about three decades ago. Shot it three times with a 222. It was dead from the first shot, just didn't know it. I just keep shooting until they get the idea.
  16. Same here. My Mrs made me lovely pheasant schnitzel last week, won't eat it though, prefers intensive farmed meat ?
  17. Itching to get out to try my new squeaker but family and work has taken president recently. Should settle down again soon.
  18. The way the world is going they will be wanting them Dave! I bet somewhere within a few miles of each of us there is a family that would take a prepped bunny of us! Gladly!!
  19. Same here. They call it progress ?????
  20. What a specimen and what a tag! 17?
  21. Globalization, great ain't it ?
  22. I meant that I have an impression your shoot is on an elevation. I don't know really as I'm just going off the pictures. I'm assuming there is no intensive farming and associated vehicles. I'm assuming little or no stubbles for flocks of geese duck and crows etc etc. If that is correct you maybe safe mate.
