    ....today. For some bizarre reason they have listed a shotgun as a completely different type than it has ever been listed as and not changed the incorrect makers name on their system that I discussed with the visiting officer in depth about! What is happening? Never used to this bad!

    My old shooting coat use to a regular dose of fox pee and deer pee. It bought me valuable seconds on many a rendezvous!

    I wouldn't ask him anything. I have spent years likewise and have come to conclusion that there is no end to their attributes! No other animal in the UK earns my admiration than the fox.

    Yes mate I can load them under 2.55" required for the action and the ogive works for the 30/30s throat.

    Its a reduced charge. Some good folks on SD sent me some unwanted 308 bullets. I have some fast powder I can use up on reduced loads for small game.

    Good question. I was talking to an old keeper and he says not necessarily. It could be challenging others. Interesting he said he has had it happen when calling. A dog fox comes in to not the call but to deter others coming to it. Trying to hold an area I guess. I experienced something similar the other night.

    I always try and get my first birds with a muzzleloader. Last year was with a flinter but this year I used a topsy turvy barreled caplock. Two shots for two birds. One going away at about 30yds. The second bird pushed out by my dog, a left to right 40yarder.

    Had a cracking morning. Got in position before light. The wind was bad and had me pinned down so it was a stand still for a few hours. Although I saw no fallow I was gifted with grunting in the wood probably not 100yards away. Later I moved off and went to the other end of the property. I decided to squeal a fox in due to there being poop everywhere. After the fourth burst of squeal I checked behind me to see a big dog fox stood there not 20yards away! Never gave me a chance.     Prone or bench rested I meant buddy. Sitting or stood up for me. So I can roll with and enjoy the recoil.

    What do you mean no one gets out. I've been out of work all this month and been out every day! I just don't need to report it all in order to get aroused! What is it with all the willy waving? Is something wrong? Do you need reassuring due to some traumatic experience? There is loads of help available. Just enjoy your time in the field, it's only going to get harder and let others be. Don't be doing it with the aim of measuring yourself up against others, seeking elitism. Just relax.

    Me about 20years ago I think. Copied off film photos so a long time ago. The big donkey took some extraction! 22 stone of him. Shot him at 12yards through the neck. 30/30 150gn Speer reload. Eldrig fell D&G.

    No shot but did get a glimpse of a doe in the timber. As the wind dropped I did hear a twig break and possibly antler rattle on something. Loved every minute of it and would be back tomorrow before light had I not promised the chicken farmer some help ?

    I use to travel up north often. I was in two syndicates. I got fed up with the traveling and the bitching because I got more roe and red than the other members. Can't be doing with folk with over inflated egos of themselves. Anyway, been to check the camera. There are two bucks. A few does. The doe is stood over a wallow.
