  1. just bought a stove, first solid fuel for 25 years, I intend to burn more smokeless coal than wood, anyone know what best coal is, performance, price etc.
  2. captured in time, mid 80s I would guess
  3. as I have posted before, it was brilliant era, shooting news was great reading, some real characters, great times being a young man and doing a bit. it changed to the countrymans weekly now that has folded, saw where it said merged into the shooting times, had a look at it, it's still the same old shooting times, not for mere peasants like me.
  4. kids with catapults,? all part of growing up in my generation.

    kits

thieving baxxrds, let us know how you get on.
  6. I am down to my last ferret which is 6 years old, anyone planning any kits this year of smaller type Jill's?, I could do with a couple.
  7. always a bad sign when you feel sick straight away
  8. that's not very PC of you young man
  9. nice to see the traditionals getting a airing Terry. we don't get much either but it's the enjoyment factor being out with dogs, whippet has caught 3 squirrels this week all good ferret food.
  10. saw that litter advertised, really liked the look of them, especially the black one
  11. they look good for spotting stuff. don't know much about them, but handy with catty I think. can see the positive points, only thing I am against is rifle men with them and infra red wiping rabbits out, that to me isn't sport.
  12. ffs mate you sound like a old man , only joking, same here mate spent many weekends pissed, but the lure of the pub faded long ago, I am more than happy mooching with little dog's, catty and a small Jill in coat pocket. now that's a real old fart for you
  13. I know you should live and let live, but gay mob seem to be everywhere these days.
  14. hare population is booming around here, never seen so many but rabbit population is dead never seen so little.
  15. there are a lot of them around here, all pampered pets, but they have not been given any chance to work, get what you are saying, the working instinct must run deep in spaniels.
  16. possibly true, certainly the Bedlington, debatable on the whippet, look at all the cockers for churning out cockapoos they are as popular than beddywhippets. I doubt they are working stock.
  17. a lot of beddywhippet litters I have seen for sale recently I would call questionable, I don't claim to be any expert but in my opinion they don't look like true beddy whippets.
  18. agree with that mate, I paid a grand for a whippet pup 2 years ago, she was bred the way I was looking for and so far I have been more than happy with her
  19. lovely pup, good luck with the training, all mine have had mouth like a gin trap, but you never know, some could be different.
  20. I always liked a dog on here few years ago, a three quarter beddywhippet called Ted, owned by a chap called magwitch.
  21. always liked a beddy cross. are they first cross?, reason I ask is all my first cross all seemed to lack pace to be good runners,
  22. just go where you want and check no ones about, the beauty of the catty is if it looks like going tits up you can always chuck it away, just claim you have lost your way, they can only fxxk you off. same with handline for trout, sling it in the river if you have to.
  23. I tried ttf from the start and have always stayed with it, also have the folds of bands on the inside.
  24. you can only stay on this forum if you are shite like the rest of us.
