  1. We did ok ? looks like you had a cracking day ?
  2. Today’s outing for me and longshanx began with a 4:30 start, a trip to some of the long ones land, no roe to be seen so a trip to my mates farm was on the cards for this afternoon we arrived just after 5pm and the weather couldn’t of been any better, we set off to the far side of the farm to walk the bottom gutter back towards the wood. Not seeing any deer along the bottom, it wasn’t until we reached the field that has the boundary of the wood in it that we bumped a deer on the hedge back, it made a break for it across the field towards the wood, the crop banger went off and sent it a li
  3. No, the HD, you are getting up to pulsar prices with the 4K
  4. I’d say yes for a rimfire, my mate had one on a .22 rimmy and at the distance you would shoot rabbits it did the job perfectly, I do remember it was a nightmare to zero but that was down to his poundland mounts and the bloke thing of not reading the instructions
  5. Not even in the same league as Kanny, but this is my attempt home made chicken, bacon and chestnut mushroom pie, with cream mash and cavolo nero
  6. Hahaha, that’s what they look like or minecraft ( one for the kids there ?)
  7. I’ve got the wraith on the .223 and for the money it’s very good, it’s 4-32 and goes up in increments of 4, it works best on 4 or 8, 12x is quite pixelated and above that is pretty much unusable
  8. I know nothing about air rifles ( they don’t make things dead enough for me) but I’ve just googled that SMK and I’d say that looks a lot better than the hatstand, it looks like a proper rifle, not like something off Startrek ?
  9. Good morning windy lads, I’m after a bit of advice, a pal of mine is thinking of getting his lad his first PCP, now he’s thinking of getting him the Hatstand Factor for under 500 quid and asked me what I thought of them, now I know that they make dreadful semi auto shotguns but was wondering if their air rifles are any good, it certainly looks the part and 465 quid seems very reasonably priced ?
  10. I asked him if he’d started eating it before he sent me the picture ?
  11. It’s good to see you haven’t lost your enthusiasm for it, even after all these years ?
  12. Sheep Shagging GIF | Gfycat GFYCAT.COM Watch and share Sheep Shagging GIFs on Gfycat Hard day at work Ben ?
  13. I mentioned that to him the other day, I think he wants to do a few more roe first ? I’ve never done a fallow, the last one I shot the lad I was out with did all the proper work, they are a big beast
  14. You need to change your name the deermagnet, 100% record on the roe, we have only been twice but I’ll take 2 for 2 ? I’ve never used it myself, but have been out with people using it the only time I’ve used it was on the digital caller, it’s worked a few times drawing a ginger from a deep wood definitely have to get the long one some more to practice on, everyone’s after a free feed now, my mate had his loins last night and said it was one of the nicest things he’s ever eaten, it helps that his missus learned to cook from her dad, who is a chef ( he’s a lucky bugger,
  15. Back out today for a late afternoon deer ramble, this time with longshanx, we walked the same path as I did with Foxhunter last weekend, after a walk along the bottom with the light fading we headed back towards the wood. As we came into the field before the wood and rounded the corner there was 3 roe the other side of the beck on next doors land, the only one that presented a half shot was a buck, so he’ll have to wait, we got to the wood side and waited until last light but nothing else showed, still a nice way to spend a Saturday afternoon. I’ve never really been into deer, only taking them
  16. That looks spot on does that ?, get yourself up north when we are set free, plenty of places to shoot, run dogs and if the times right a bit of ferreting all in some of the best surroundings in the world ( never mind just this country) ?
  17. They have shot up, not that long ago I was paying £6.50 for 25 clear pigeon ( 32g 5’s / 6’s fibre) they are now £7.90 the stuff we chucked at the pheasants this season was about £11 a box, when you are buying 250 at a time it’s a big jump in price
  18. Ooooooow, that’s very nice ?
  19. Dropped andrew’s share off, his father in law who is a chef was very impressed with your skills, they are all asking when the next delivery is coming ??
  20. Don’t buy a PBiR, I’ve got one on the wraith and it’s shit, it will be getting changed in the near future
  21. I knew it, you couldn’t just be happy for me that I’d finally found someone who doesn’t think I’m a complete bellend ??
  22. I’m the same with the gingers this time of year, just a couple of places to keep at them all year round, roll on the summer evening’s, sat out at 9pm in the sun picking off thick young foxes
  23. Today’s outing would be to my mates families farm after a doe with foxhunter, we got there mid afternoon giving us a good couple of hours before sunset. The weather was ideal for it and expecting to see deer along the boundary that has a stream with good cover along it, that’s where we headed, setting off we walked through a strip of game cover where a dozen or so pheasants got up and headed to the wood. Along the bottom although there was plenty of slots in the mud we didn’t see a deer and as the sun was going down we headed back towards the wood, glassing along the way we came to the last fi
  24. You had a better night than me, I went back to the shoot to try and catch up with that fox that was educated 3 times last week ? not a fox to be seen, it looked perfect for it, no moon and a stiff breeze, but no fox, did see a dozen fallow and 7 humbugs, one of the badgers came within 10 foot of us, he was a big bugger and looked in tip top condition
