I can see it should be convenient out of the motor but it does seem short...took my new 700 SPS .308 in today to be chopped to 20"...thought that was short enough!!!

Out this morning around 11.00, driving in the country and saw what I thought was a rabbit in the middle of a field....a million things went through my mind like, what's he doing up at this time, is it a Mixxy job and f**k me that's a big rabbit.....all flashed through the mind as it hit me it was a HARE!!!! But there are no Hare in Berkhire...thought I'd seen my first..then it dawned on me I was a couple of miles into Hampshire!!!

Yep...longs, shorts, caps, shotshells and Uncle Tom Cobbly and all... Only problem tends to be loading with some as the size makes it difficult/impossible in a magazine!

The original question will never be resolved due to different firearms regions, personal preferences and land topography!!! ....but glab to see another fan of the .22WMR...too many people have forgotten this thinking HMR is the new messiah...but CCI released an additional .22WMR round last year... They make more .22WMR than HMR and the .22WMR is VERY popular in the US! Also seems to be trying hard to make a comeback in the UK....for those with no experience think about it, don't just leap at a HMR!!! Crusade over...for the time being!!!

Chocolate is worth a try as well, they are tempted by a lot of things but always best to stick with what they know, ie..if they are nicking all the nuts/fat/seeds from around bird feeders then give them plenty of that sort of stuff!! They love water too and must drink LOADS every day (about a third of their body weight)..people always forget this, so add a saucer/bowl of water to the area as well

.222 and .223...so who knows...but get your acts together lads..I'm waiting for a good round!!! Cheers!!! If we go inbetween that would be a .224 bullet weighing 45 grains then .224 will do the trick but they perform differently in the .222 and .223 barrels/twists...anyway, I have just short of 1000, .223 cartridges at the moment so can you speed things up on the .243 and .308 please, which I am a bit short of!! Cheers!!

Tikka T3 lite 20 inch barrell .223 cal
Deker replied to patricktyrone's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
This is the size barrel Tikka are now shipping virtually all their rifles into the uk, and screw cut .....and mine is going to be cut down to 19" today!! -
http://www.remington.com/products/ammuniti...hotshell/slugs/ No idea where you would get them, they hardly fly off the shelf in 12g and 20 is rare. Edgar Bros are the UK distributor for Remington so you may need to ask them if they are available. You will need a FAC and smoothbore slugs are notoriously innacurate. I struggle to see this as fox ammo anyway!!!!!

I have EXACTLY that rifle, got in in August last year, probably the first in the UK...I did a deal as the RFD owed me a favour, £265, a free slip and a free box of ammo...but times have changes ..and so have exchange rates. But frankly I still think £375 is a bit steep!! EDIT You probably know, but that CZ Silhouette above is a .22LR, the HMR has a different stock and bigger magazine, but close enough to get an idea!!

Nope..if you are lucky enough to live to 150 you can still have one..but there may be other issues!!!

What is the barrel length??? Cheers

Each to their own, but I think it looks horrible!!

By the sound of this the "owner" does not hold the gun legally. That being the case giving it to someone who has a spare slot for the item will not turn it into a legally held firearm! Put simply, find your local FEO and talk to him...strange as it may seem this sort of thing does happen and if handled correctly there is every chance this may become legal. Lots of things happened in the past, lots of people have "relics/heirlooms/war trophies/etc" and the police understand and can sometimes help! Be careful anyway, at the moment it seems someone may be sitting on a 5 year jail ter

Tikka T3 lite 20 inch barrell .223 cal
Deker replied to patricktyrone's topic in Rimfire, Centrefire & Shotguns
Mines the T3 Lite Stainless, full length and 1-8 so difficult to comment on ammo, but mine shoots most pretty well, even the cheap stuff. Had it nearly 2 years now and NEVER been happy with the balance, tried several moderators, mounts, scopes and it's going in for the chop on Saturday...down to 19". -
