  1. It depends what you want of a gun, but I'd say the 410 or the 510, but I've not used a 510 yet! If you want more information check out the guns here..... http://www.air-arms.co.uk/ If you want more opinion, then a good place to ask would be here....... http://www.airarmsownersclub.com/
  2. Beat me to it..it's either done very well on those chickens or someones scales are throwing a wobbly...20lb is big, 38 is a miracle!!!
  3. Just so happens I have one of these available right now... http://www.deben.com/optics/riflescopes/varmint_2.php The 4-16x44 version and sunshade, about 3 weeks old so virtually brand new, unmarked, box, instructions, got it as a temporary for my HMR... The very scope on the gun....also did this for me when I strapped it on the HMR...100 yards... Sensible offers can secure it!!! How come that one is being sold so soon? Was simply waiting until I could get a deal on another scope!!! They are ok though, that's why I bought it, I have the 3-12x44 version on my .22LR
  4. You need to get your eye relief right and then simply see how far apart you can get your mounts...often not as far as you may like!
  5. The next page on Guntrader lists 2 new ones at £1435. And don't forget it is a buyers market, you can still do deals whatever the price tag says...New or Used!!! Prices are going up at a silly rate, so best to find someone with the guns in stock and buy quickly!
  6. Clean Dry Air keeps being mentioned. Now call me stupid (most do!) but surely it depends where you pump your gun up. You will always get moisture in the cylinder however this is usually dispelled on the first shot. So if your pumping your gun up in the middle of a field in the pouring rain next to a bonfire yes you will get moist dirty air. If you're in your garage at home in the warmth of the living room, you'll get dry clean air. Stands to reason. Thats why I like springers. One shot. Wait 20mins and the coney are out again or move along to the next patch. Like I said before. I only take
  7. well im sorry mate but ive got dyspraxia witch means i get mixed up sometimes with my words. Chap...do you really mean Dyspraxia or do you mean dyslexia?? If I am right in understanding you are 14, you have dyspraxia and a criminal record then I currently rate your chances of getting a FAC as ZERO!! Perhaps another career should be considered other than stalker! ATB!! no mate i mean dyspraxia i am 14 and have a criminal record in a couple of days. if that means i cant be stalkier then so be it but im still going to try and get it. Even if the criminal record i
  8. Just scanned through this but remember as well you get clean dry air from a bottle...not necessarily so from a pump, the pump may be marginally cheaper money wise, but the bottle is much quicker and easier. So bottle EVERY time for this OAP!!!
  9. Where did you get this info from..?????? Cheers Er..I kind of have it remebered..one of lifes little anal retentives me.. But you had me worried I had made a mistake, so I just checked it hereScottish Stalking Info Cheers, well, I've only been stalking in Scotland the once, many years ago...just as well perhaps...I learnt something here, SOUTH of the border NO speed and NO weight for larger calibre. Minimum 1700ft lb, .240 and expanding ammo! .22CF, 50g Expanding, and 1000ft lb MINIMUM for the small deer though (CWD, Muntjac)...still no speed!!
  10. Silver Pigeonlll USED for £1400???? Seems more than a little expensive, it there something special about it!
  11. Where did you get this info from..?????? Cheers

  13. Nope...doesn't float my boat on a number of levels but each to their own!!

  15. Sako/Tikka are not quite sure what they are doing on .223 twist rates at the moment. They used to be 1-12 about 4 years ago, then turned them all into 1-8. For about the last year they have been available in 1-12 or 1-8. Mine is a Stainles T3 Lite with 1-8, not sure if I am just lucky or what, but it shoots everything well I chuck up the barrel, even Wolf 55g HP, and Barnaul 62g FMJ will give me 1" groups at 100yards if I do my bit. Thats plenty good enough for me these days!! It's in for a barrel chop at the moment so I hope it continues to shoot these well!
  16. No predicament at all and no need to prick your concience...lambing and fox control go hand in hand, the farmer wants/needs it..job to be done!! Nothing to feel guilty about!
  17. To be honest I had never heard of these until now..but I've just had a look .... not sure what to say except.....f*** me..it weights nearly 4 pounds!!!!
  18. Just started Deer Mentoring a new guy in Feltham, went over to some land he has this morning in somewhere like Halsey (I think) a bit south of the RHS Wisley Gardens. Anyway, arrived, only to find the local Hunt was about to start ...all the lads and lasses in their kit, 2 Police Range Rovers, and a caravanette of protesters (more like hiking, tree hugging, dog walking 70's throwbacks...but they had the hair and attitude). It was a drag hunt...but if the dogs get hold of a scent and take off somewhere else, well, what can you do!!! Unfortunately this rather screwed up our stalk but wa
  19. Looks like you Wiltshire lads have a fair few fox .... from what I see when visiting my boy in Swindon plenty of land needs controlling!!!
  20. So what is the fist impressions of the new lamping kit????
  21. Sounds like its working..how does the ammo change effect Zero??? I was on Short Siberia 200 yards at Bisley last Sunday with the T3 Hunter .243 and used 90g SP PRVI and 80g SP (SAKO I think..a pal gave it to me there to try) 20 rounds of the Sako and about the same of the PRVI...groups were as identical as you could get ...surprised me!!!
  22. Nothing special, a Hawke Varmint ll, 4-16x44, (and sunshade) can't be 100% sure about the mag now, I almost always use it at 6x but I think I was on 8x for this, DEFINATELY no higher! It was a bright sunny period about 14.30 and the target was well lit with no shadows! Top one here.... and then all by itself!!
  23. I think I must have missed something here!!! I am struggling to believe this...you have either got the idiot temp or the new boy who has just come off traffic duty...that is bullshit...this sort of thing happens all the time!! Very few people start life with a coterminus, they get them somewhere down the line. You simply trade in and cancel your FAC NOW, and start a new coterminous immediately, or at the very worst just wait until the renewal date of your FAC, 6.4.09 you said originally, and ask them to start the coterminous then. I have even known regions to issue coterminous certi
  24. That ain't so bad. Thanks Sean The renewal visit is the easy bit...getting your certificate to start with can be fun!!!!
  25. I may be barking up the wrong tree here but I'm guessing this is at the Barbury Clay ground, they have some air rifle areas there.... Barbury Shooting School Ltd. Tel: 07872 666154 www.barburyshoot.com Nr Barbury Castle, Wroughton, Swindon, Wiltshire,SN4 0QH Shot there with my lad, CLAYS, nice place, good little clubhouse but what I would term a Compact shoot!! Could be wrong but I doubt there are 2 places that close!! With regard money...well, if it is this place I suggest you look before you part with money!
