  1. sorry i know nothing of fireamrs! i just heard that silvedr pigeons arre good! how expensive are they? Probably an idea to reel it in a bit, this is not the first time you have charged in and then drawn back...chill out and calm down!!!
  2. They tend to be fussy how you mount them...possibly just not breaking the beams with the .177, have you tried a bit of adjustment, seems strange it's just the .177, can't think of any other reason!

    mixy

Seen it on several sites this year, its always there, I have seen mixxy every year for as long as I can remember, if it's clear make the most of it..it will be back!
  4. try the for sale section and try here... http://falconowners.myfastforum.org/forum8.php
  5. thankx for reading Chap..it was hard work, don't they have spell checkers your way.....anyway, shorts will work in a .22lr, but there are often loading/cycling problems!!!! If you have a gun specifically chambered in .22Short you need to use .22Short, NOT .22lr, the chamber is not designed for the longer cartridge!
  6. It doesn't matter if you are zeroing or not , NEVER jerk the trigger, always squeeze, it should be comfortably and safely light, and break cleanly, if not have it looked at. Zero at a distance your land, quarry and ammo require! With .22LR subs most will zero around 50-60 yards. High velocity .22LR will be lucky to group at 40yards but is commonly used to -100yards (with shotgun patterns)!
  7. When they are 3/4 grown..in simple terms, all year! But they are best in late summer/early autumn so you will be waiting for one of the firstborn of the year!
  8. On the other hand..... The vast majority of what he sells is listed and priced on his website so you or anyone else can see how much it costs...on top of which he does "custom make" a lot of stuff, and much of what he sells is very competatively priced! His advice is usually free and often helpful...but he is a character!!
  9. ...and the vast majority of hunting rimfires and loads of centrefires are cheaper than many PCP air rifles!!
  10. If you are seriously suggesting you have to take these corvids commonly in excess of 150 yards in lots of wind then you will need a lot of practice and a rangefinder if you use a HMR or WMR. Sounds to me as though you are describing a .204, ammo is expensive but easy shooting at 150+++++++yards. .223 is very capable and a lot of ammo choice, 22-250 seems a bit over the top to me!
  11. Bought this as temporary about 4 weeks ago, I already have the 3-12x44 version on my .22LR, great scopes! http://www.deben.com/optics/riflescopes/varmint_2.php You may have seen the picture of the scope on my HMR and what it can do...I'll try and get the pictures up again later. Obviously still have box etc, list price of the above is £133.90 plus delivery, this package is all but brand new and I will ship anywhere in mainland UK for £85, saving nearly £50 on list and more with free delivery. Feel free to ask any questions!! Cheers
  12. what is the max you can have on FAC Deker, and also is there a limit to how many SG you can have on SGC? Hughesey There is NO limit on the number of FAC tools you can hold. If you can justify it you can have it! There is NO limit to the number of SGC tools you can hold, but questions "may" be asked when you get up around 20-25 tools. With regard any tools NOT requiring a FAC or SGC you can hold as many as you want!
  13. I'm well confused by a lot of this but FAC and SGC is different, and whoever said you can only have 6 FAC tools is mis-informed...I have more...and that does NOT include my SGC tools!!
  14. Mount it whichever orientation works for you, just comply with fitting instructions and no problem. One of mine has been upside down from day one, never think about it now..it is the right way up for me
  15. Depends on the individuals definition of baffles, several mods have very similar internals to the SAK. Not a clue what it could be myself from the original description!!
  16. Litts has gone bust to the tune of around £50,000,000, Treeptops has been bought by the Sportsman and is/was the only part of the operation that made a profit (just)!!
  17. Bit of a long one this so please bear with me....and before you all shout I know a JR is not a retriever BUT>>>>> My lad got one of these about 4 months back from a dog rescue centre, the dog is about a year old, his intention is to turn it into a Gun Dog , things are not going too bad and after being shown how to retrieve a stick by a couple of other dogs there is no stopping him now...BUT he simply is not interested in animal retrieving. Out all day yesterday and today with him and he runs after the shot pigeon, crows, rabbits and squirrels and finds and marks them b

  19. £3.00 for a top up for a 12L 232 bar, never needs a "fill" as a low pressure bottle would have been useless for ages!
  20. This one comes up a lot and different rimfires like different ammo...whether this is all true or partly in the mind of the shooter is irrelevant. Eley, has been a favorite for many years and as their early rimfire reputation was mainly built on targets the ammo should be accurate. Winchester have had their moments and been up and down over the years but still a great favorite with many, and CCI subs are good but certainly difficult to chamber in some guns! I use Magtech subs in my .22LR which is almost exclusively a sub sonic tool, if I want something more I use the 17 HMR or .22WM
  21. To be a little more specific, one size tends to fit all in air rifles, but there are a lot of sizes available for cartridge rifles!

    Gun Lamp

Fitting the lamp should not effect your zero and the dimmer unit (brightness control) is available ... http://www.deben.com/lights_lamping/tracer...accessories.php
  23. If it is a true Trap Gun it will shoot high. Reason being, in trap shooting birds are taken on the rise. This is a different setup to a sporting or skeet gun and could prove frustrating....but if you get to know your gun then you will get to know where it shoots, ....not a great problem until you use another gun and will think it shoots strange!
